  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Cows 'N' Moon

Plumridge definitely has a gift of creating a spin on popular fairy stories/nursery rhymes. The piece is brilliantly constructed and there is enough of the writers individual twist without taking away the original nursery rhyme. I also love the verbal humour all the way through.

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Coming In

The writer here has created a perfect comparison between the stereotypes of the youth and the older generation. The characters are wondefully sculpted around this scene that a lot of audience will be familiar with (the coming home to meet the parents). Coupled with the witty back and forth dialogue it is a lovely play that is crying out to be produced.

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Today I will go to him.

A powerful piece constructed with strong imagery. You can see the character as she makes her journey and considers herself in the mirror simply by reading. This would make a great piece for an actress to really explore.

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Dolls

There is so much that will resonate with an audience in this piece. If you've ever been in a toy shop around Christmas time you'll recognise the stress levels and sense of entitlement of one of the characters. In addition there's the general discussion of what the toys parents buy their children means when really we all know it should just make the child happy. I love what this play says, I love the characters who say it and I love the end. Brilliant!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: BABY FEVER (a 10 minute play)

As someone who's been on the outside, I can understand how making and raising babies could look easy because their cute. Its not until someone who's been through it has a frank and honest conversation with you (like the writer has created here) that you realise how difficult it is. The play is full of comedic moments and moments that will resonate with people who are or are thinking about becoming parents. The main thing I love though the support the writer creates between the two sisters. Its a lovely piece and I can see why its been popular!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Shelved

I had the honour of reading one of the characters in this play in an online reading and its fabulous. The wonderful world of books has never been so brilliantly portrayed and would love to see this live on a stage!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Christmas In The Covid

Pieces that relate to loss will often tug at your heart strings but in this case I was shedding a few tears for the central character by the end. A life that has been destroyed so much by Covid was always going to have dark and emotional moments but there are some moments that make you smile a little two. Its perfectly balanced and very well created.

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Sheltering In A Broken Place

Such a powerful piece full of amazing imagery that casts an abundance of feelings within you as you read it!I found myself reading it multiple times before posting my recommendation and each time I read it I found a new favourite line. I think it would make a wonderful audition piece for anyone.

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Strings

Having read many different versions of fairy stories I have to say this one really tugged at my heart strings (no pun intended). The writer has taken a known story and twisted it on its head with amazing results! A very strong and beautifully written female character leads the piece as she tells her story, which you want to know more about as the moments pass. With moments of sadness, darkness and relevance in this day and age the piece ticks all the boxes.

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: The Fake

Right from the opening stage directions, the writer creates a detailed image of the world you are being invited into. From there you are swirrled into the world of two wonderfully different but funny characters underlined by the influence of social media. The piece goes along at a lovely piece and by the end it can't fail to have you chuckling. I think it would be a great assett for a festival
