  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: We Interrupt This Broadcast

Every time I see a piece inspired by mass shootings it does make me despair but that does not change the fact that this is a wonderfully powerful piece. It shows the audience, not only how this epidemic of mass shootings has spread everywhere but also how it and the fear that comes with it creates a society that lives in constant fear. Its sharp and to the point!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Handling Temptation

We had the great privilege of reading this piece at our Sunday night play reading and its a 'drawing in' piece. From the very beginning you find yourself what Brooke is building to as she questions Ash's desire to 'further herself' in her current job. The dialogue becomes more and more intrieguing as the piece goes on and then, Rex provides an expertly timed twist. We had great fun reading this piece and it would definitely draw an audiece in with live performance!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Personal Services - A Script In A Day

We had the great privilege of reading this piece at our Sunday night play reading. Alice has presented a fascinating look at how technology could influence the arts world with a slightly sinister and horrible result. Its brilliantly created with a fascinating collection of characters. The audience are invited to 'discover' this revolution of the arts and then a twist comes in at the end that you won't see coming, its fascinating and intrieguing!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Human Resources

We had the great pleasure of reading this piece at our Sunday night play reading and its a brilliantly captured moment with incredibly real characters. Amanda has speant so much of her life protecting her son it takes an intervention from Human resources director Amanda to remind her that she needs to let go of the reigns and let her son live his own life and make his own mistake so she can finally live hers. Both are wonderfully created characters that an audience will relate to in some ways. A fabulous example of Deb's work.

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: BETTER LATE THAN NEVER

As with so many of Adam's plays, he draws you in with lovely dialogue and the premise that you are seeing one thing before twisting the whole piece on its head with superb timing, leaving the audience feeling like they are now watching something very different with very different tones. I won't say too much for fear of spoiling it but its brilliantly crafted with moments of humour, touching emotion, and then that beautiful twist! And you too can find out the twist if you read it! Because you should!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Hellbound Helen

I am REALLY glad I read this piece in the daytime because I would not sleep otherwise. Christopher has done an amazing job taking the idea of small-town legend and a thrilling mystery and covering it in a chill that is sure to give you goosebumps. The audience will ask a million questions as this wonderfully timed piece takes you through Maddie's story. It is BEGGING for a performance, ideally on Halloween because I reckon you'd have audiences jumping out of their skin! Well done Chris.

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Sainthood Revoked

Well that's just not right! Christopher has created a character that is easy to sympathise with in Saint Christopher (because he totally still deserves his full title). For me, this was a piece that educated as well as entertained as I'd no idea how St Christopher became a saint. As an audience, you have the pleasure of not only being educated by the character's story but entertained as well, despite the sadness of the result. Its an interesting take on Sainthood which I enjoyed thoroughly!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: 7 Weeks, 3 Days

They say the strongest of friendships can withstand anything and that is what Claudia depicts here, two friends, who despite being kept apart for a long time and then having to face the worst conversation, still stand together and hold their friendship firm. Despite having a heartbreaking topic at its core, Claudia creates a beautiful image of these two girls just being allowed to be and enjoy each other's company, inspite of everything. Its a wonderful piece that would present a great opportunity for two young performance to play emotionally powerful roles.

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Social Commentary

Social interactions are a complicated thing to explore at the best of times but Rebecca creates a wonderful comedy twist to this interaction by having it analysed sports commentators. This twist takes what would have been a quite ordinary interaction and loads it with intrigue and witty fast paced back and fort dialogue that will draw any audience in. It really is fabulously done!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: K. I. S. S. I. N. G.

We had the great joy of reading this play at our Sunday evening play reading session and it was just a joy to read. When we grow up we rappidly forget about the innocence but Julie and Betsy are here to remind us that its not about what people think, its about love and the purity of that feeling and how it makes you feel. This play won't fail to put a smile on your face because in a world of darkness, Deb has bought a beautiful moment of light!
