  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Remember Me?

Monologues for me have always been about storytelling and this monologue is a tremendous example of that. If you were to watch it live (and I recommend people do) and close your eyes then you can see the moments of agony, embarrassment, and fear that the ankle goes through as he relives the day of the accident. My personal love for this piece stems from the fact that the story comes full circle from a moment of pain and fear to a moment of hope and recovery, which makes it a wonderful opportunity as a performance piece.

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Demon Bitch Goddess

Scott has always created and created well! This evening of theatre, as that is what it can be presented as, is a perfect example of that. Mythical characters have been plucked from their various realms and presented before an audience in three wonderfully created stories, all of which are loaded with comedy and emotional moments! I don't believe there is a single moment where you won't want there to be more of these stories because they continue to provide entertainment in spades! Another wonderful creation by Scott!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: The Eighteenth Quinquennial Endlings Picnic

Having to consider the loss of friends is always a hard thing but Jillian has presented this with a wonderfully unique perspective. Several species gather to discuss their extinction but the unique twist brought in by Elizabeth (won't say what it is) leaves you with a stirring feeling of hope rather than one of sadness. The piece stands as one of entertainment, of provoking thought and one of warning to the humans responsible for these creatures being in the position they are. A truly wonderful construct!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: The Discarded

I will NEVER be able to look at toys in a charity/thrift shop the same way again! My utmost respect to Jan for creating such fabulous characters out of inanimate objects and making us feel so much for them. The idea of being disregarded is a desperately sad one but Jan has balanced it with some wonderfully funny moments of dialogue. A wonderful chance for performers to have fun with characterization while giving a powerful performance at the same time and I think that's what these characters need, to be brought to life!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Sitting at a Red Light in America

A hard-hitting commentary on society with a scarily realistic reflection on how things will progress (and in some places are progressing) if gun control isn't seriously investigated. This is a golden opportunity for an actress to show an audience that very thing as a mother sits at a set of lights debating her decision to send her son to school with bulletproof attire. It's a harrowing thing to hear and consider that this is a very real resolution for parents. It's powerfully presented and is sure to have audiences talking it over, which is what needs to happen.

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: That's Hollywood (15 Minutes)

That's got to be the funniest sex scene I've ever seen! Dan has wonderfully captured the essence of how complicated it can be to 'perform' with someone you have history with. There is so much to love about this play, including wonderfully created characters (Hildie is FABULOUS!) and brilliantly witty dialogue that blends itself perfectly to the pace of the story. There are touching moments that deal with the personal connection and the regret of the characters and then there are laugh out loud moments! This just the perfect balance of both!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Feeling Devilish

One wonderful thing about Donald's writing is his ability to bring to the service wonderfully unusual situations, which is exactly what he has done here. The world of dating is a minefield at the best of times but to find a demon through it really takes the cake. Donald's wonderful imagination has he presents that situation that Roger has found himself in (the name of the dating website is BRILLIANT by the way). He proceeds to explain this situation to his friend aided by brilliantly witty dialogue that is sure to have you laughing out loud!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Brompton's Truth

This is a moment that speaks endlessly! Someone once said to me "inviting in a pet and you invite heartache". Well, that is just how I thought Human 2 was going to react from their first line. However, after that moment Jacquelyn succeeds in reminding all pet owners why they risk inviting heartache into their lives by owning a dog. It's a beautiful moment that reminds you why dogs are your best friend!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: STEALING A KISS

Aw! Such a beautiful 'meet cute' as they are described. At first you can almost feel the awkwardness as Harvey waffles on, much to Sue's dismay but slowly but surely Laurie constructs this lovely moment between these two people. Its a lovely chance for two mature performers and is sure to leave an audience with a sentimental smile on their face, after all, it did me!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: LA 8 AM (a ten minute play)

Oh my god! The twist on the ending of this piece just hit me like a slug to the gut! However, even taking that amazing twist aside, this ten-minute piece is remarkable. Not do the characters have a unique way of communicating between themselves but for me, it was a wonderfully unique way of presenting theatre in 'showing' and 'telling' at the same time. In eight pages Mark provides inspiration, heartache and emotion in spades! The fact that it has such praise does not surprise me in the slightest!
