  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Noh More War

This is a wonderfully powerful piece that speaks volumes about the tragedy of war. Its amazing what Chris has done with this brief. Its a piece that needs to be experienced as well as just read as I can't help but feel and audience would feel changed by seeing it. The horror of war is something that has been explored in many different ways but for me this is a wonderfully unique take and brilliantly presented.

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: BOX OFFICE

Once again Paul presents us with a wonderfully real voice from within the theatre world. Its easy to overlook the people at the box office and other theatre staff but this monologue presents a day in the life of a box office attendant with wonderful realism. I could almost imagine myself watching this in an intimate space with simply you and Jack as he shows you what working in a theatre is like. It presents a wonderful perspective from a brilliantly created character loaded with moments of humour. Nothing less than I expect from Paul's work.

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: A Wonderful Life?

As a lover of the original Wonderful Life, I was apprehensive about this piece but curiosity couldn't keep me away, and I am SO glad I ignored my apprehensions! Its a wonderful twist on the story that leaves you with a wonderful warm feeling and a smile on your face. For me the story of "It's a Wonderful Life" couldn't have asked for a better interpretation! Thank you Bruce! All it needs now is a wonderful stage and a wonderful performance, its already a wonderful script!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: The Bear - A Dogged Tail

Like so many series recently, we've long been waiting for this latest instalment and Chris definitely as not disappointed! Once again we are treated to the bear's wonderfully unique voice as he tells us of another instalment of his life. As I've said before, Chris has created a truly wonderful character who NEEDS to be brought to life! The first animation was brilliantly done and the rest of these wonderfully woven tales can only be just as brilliant in my view!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Let Me Count the Ways

We read this piece as part of our Literary and Discourse Society play reading and the emotional impact packs a wallop! The raw and heart wrenching emotional outbursts from Nikki as she confronts her mother about what she went through as a child/young person really hits the audience hard and that is the great thing about it. Its a great opportunity for two powerful actresses to leave an audience with tears in in their eyes and their emotions feeling like they've been put through the wringer! It's an amazingly powerful piece that needs to be heard!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: PRIDE and PREJUDICE: A Play with Music from Jane Austen's Songbooks

We had the great privilege of reading this wonderful piece at our Sunday night play reading. Even for those who are well acquainted with the story and other interpretations of it, this is a wonderfully unique twist that flowed beautifully from scene to scene depicting the tale of love, family, and all the complications associated there within. As well as brilliantly telling the story, the piece is wonderfully intertwined with beautiful songs that present another depth to the piece. It's crying out for production as it plays a wonderful homage to the work of Jane Austen!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: The Curious Tale of Marston Moore's Untimely Demise

Having known Chris and his playwriting path for quite some time it has been a joy and pleasure to watch his writing develop into so many wonderful pieces and this is no exception! Arriving at the pearly gates Marston engaged in a wonderfully witty back and forth with St Peter before meeting God. The piece is loaded with the wonderfully witty dialogue I have seen in lots of Chris's plays and it's sure to leave an audience laughing. And that's all this play really needs, some strong performers and an audience!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: BROKEN SPIRIT

Life is a series of events that can feel like it overwhelms us and that is what Jack has brought to this play. Daniel is a man who seems to have endless events that knock him down and as the audience, you feel that emotional turmoil with him as thing after thing in his life goes wrong. As a story, it grabs the audience and hold their attention as they are guided through this man's life. I shed a tear on more than one occasion, particularly for the wonderfully powerful ending. It's a piece that will stay with me!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: When the Chaos Started

The loss suffered due to gun violence is a horrible thing to think about but it is what the audience is confronted with in this piece. While it would be easy to make it all about pain and suffering, you are witness to a couple of beautiful moments where Aiden thinks about the 'what if' and what his parents would be asking him had that 'boom' never happened. It's a piece that could stand as a warning as well as being an emotionally wrenching piece of theatre. I think any audience would struggle to walk away from this piece unchanged.

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: A BREAK

An emotional roller coaster if ever there was one. Joe and Josh seem to sail through various stages of emotions and we are along for the wonderfully intriguing and heart-wrenching ride. It's a prime example of how the tone of conversations can change in a heartbeat. It's a fantastic opportunity for two male performers to provide an audience with an emotionally loaded piece that is sure to give a tug on the heartstrings!
