  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: THE PERSISTENCE OF VISION

I always love theatre that educates and opens my eyes to new subjects and Kerr's piece offers this in spades. The story of Chet Woodleigh was one I had never heard before and the more I read, the more I found myself drawn into the tale of this extraordinary man. It fascinates and intrigues in equal measure as well as bringing something new to an audience, a unique story that they may not know and that basis alone will draw them in with curiosity only to be rewarded with this beautifully written story!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Come Find Me

"Come Find Me" captivates, enthralls and intrieguies in equal measure. You can see in your minds eye as you read you can see Anna and Georgie in an intimate space inviting the audience to be part of thair tale that twists and turns, drawing them in as you discover more. Its a piece I'd thoroughly recommend for multiple reasons but at its heart its just brilliantly constructed!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Poor Paige

While I do entirely agree with Paige's 'hatred of money' I was reminded, on reading this brilliant piece, how wonderful it feels when you are able to improve your financial situation independently. The situations for both characters, past and present will resonate with a lot of audiences, which is what makes this play so wonderfully relatable (as with a lot of Deb's work). You find yourself wanting to shake Paige by the end and I think an audience will as well. A lovely little two hander with lots of relatable elements and two wonderfully constructed characters!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: 15 Seconds

The emotional waves flood through this beautiful piece to the point where I was shedding tears by the end. You feel not only for the characters and the tragedy they endured, but for the society we live in that still allows these kinds of tragedies to happen. This is then counter balanced by an uplifting emotion where a human being can be their true self. Despite being surrounded by tragedy that does leave a momentary smile on your face as you experience this play, because that's what I think it would be if produced, an emotional experience.

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: It's My Brooklyn Too

The concept of belonging has always been a complicated one and its one that John explores brilliantly in this piece. Within the first few opening pages I was drawn into the lives of the Smaldone family. In full length plays its easy for some characters to become obsolete but in this case John has created each family member essential to the story as a whole and for that reason an audience will love to watch them and their story develop. Its a golden opportunity to produce a play that has a real story of depth and characters you'll love!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: SHE WANTED ME (a monologue)

The key for me with monologues is to create a character that audiences believe in and Marj has definitely done that here. As I read of the heart-breaking events that led to Corinne being alone and feeling unwanted my heart couldn't help but reach out to here. This is a powerful and wonderfully emotional piece that leaves you thinking about all the other Corinne's there are out there and that in itself makes this an incredible piece of theatre, Corinne makes you feel and she makes you think about the world we live in. A wonderful job by Marj!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Penny

This is a touching and beautiful scene between a father and daughter. The heartbreaking loss of his wife and then the knowledge that his daughter is leaving home is evident in the well written conversational dialogue. You can't help but feel for Bruce as he talks in such a fond way about the importance of those he loves. Its a beautiful play that presents a perfect snapshot of a father/daughter relationship.

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Family Visitation (Ten Minute)

This wonderfully written piece has left me raw with emotions so firstly I would just like to say congratulations to Paul for creating a piece that did that. The loss of a loved one and then to be kept from that loved one at the hardest time of both parties lives for the most horrible of reasons is a heart wrenching thing to think about. That is what Paul has expertly captured here and as an audience I felt the rage and heartache with Randy and thats what makes this an incredibly powerful piece to watch!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Three Items from my Truck: A Monologue

Oh this guy is so beyond a 'person of interest' now! Cole has created Mickey as a man who has had some supposedly not important items but the more you listen to the way he talks about them, his justifications and his supposed innocent concerns, the more you start to question. Mickey would make a tremendous character for hotseating after this monologue and would also be a great part to play. Once again, my hats off to Cole for drawing me in and leaving me dying to know more!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: All of the Napkins are Wet (a monologue) (Playing on the Periphery #1)

Yet another fabulously created character from Scott! This monologue is a wonderful look at how dramatic and complicated the world of being a young hostess of tea parties can be. Its a monologue that creates wonderful imagery in your mind and would make a wonderful piece for an actress to perform.
