  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Petty Drama Officer

Oh this is a giggle fest! Its an amazing satirical reflection of the petty s**t that we get irritated about and Scott holds a mirror up to that in a wonderful way. Its a fabulously imaginative piece with witty back and forth dialogue that could make a great play for an evening of shorts where an audience may see a bit of themselves (or someone they know) in this situation. Its funny, its relatable and it would be a fun performance for two actors, what more could you want?

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Haphazard

"Everyone’s idea of normality is different". That is what is explored as Kevin guides you through the story of his life, the events involved and the people he encounters. The writer has created a wonderful story about life and the human condition, how much the events and people in our lives effect us. The audience is privileged to be witnesses in Kevin's story, a story in which you will be emotionally moved in a multitude of ways. Its a wonderful piece about people with fabulous execution!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Romance in History

As a great believer in the 'warm and fuzzy' side of romance I was slightly saddened by the idea that "romance is a mechanism used to garner favour or secure wealth" but from there Chris presents a wonderful analysis of the idea of love and relationships but not in the way you think. The story of how his parents fall in love made me smile and I could see it in my mind as those two people fell in love. However, Chris presents another powerful message that gave me a bigger smile, the idea of loving yourself. Its just beautiful!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Cracked Slipper

A wonderfully witty re-imagining of what could have happened when Cinderella disappeared at midnight. Jacquelyn has not only created a unique premise that had me giggling but she's also created a great character in the prince. It would make a wonderful monologue for a younger actor is a great twist on a fairy tale, which I always enjoy!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Half the Battle

As a playwright, I find myself drawn to pieces about writing and this is a wonderful example. As the audience, you are privileged enough to be a fly on the wall during Writers creative process. The dialogue mimics the creative process brilliantly as it flits from idea to idea forcing the actor to adapt to it. You find yourself drawn into the story which presented as a gift to both the characters and the audience as you will take the journey of discovering the story together. Its a fabulous exploration of creative thinking and process!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Fucking Ice

The 'what ifs' and how our lives would be different is something we often think about and analyse and that is what Debra has done incredibly well here. You witness a family talk over old times, both happy and sad. Debra has created a wonderful family of characters that you can't help but bond with before she yanks the emotional rug from under you. Without spoiling it for you, its a piece that gives in spades on an emotional level and will leave you out of breath at the end. Another great work from Debra!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Madame Medusa Would Prefer a Chardonnay

As a Chardonnay person myself I was drawn to this title instantly and I absolutely loved it! Madame Medusa is a character I'd love to play simply because she is so fabulous! By the end of the piece you feel for this poor woman simply trying to relax and enjoy a lovely glass of wine! Nora has expertly flipped the expectation to cheer the hero and boo the villain on its head in this piece. It would make a stunning piece for an actress to add to her performances! Its an empowering and brilliantly constructed piece. Bravo!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Weather or Not (A Lost Children Story)

Daff & Chrys are my two favourite people! They just coated in this wonderful love for each other as they try to enjoy a wonderful time together and despite the things that would thwart their time together, Hannah expertly depicts their love for each other in a wonderful way. You are entertained, you care and you are dying to know more. What more could you ask for?

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Circumcised or Circum-skeptic? And the winner is...

"It’s not like scheduling a root canal!" Margie frames the complications of having a baby wonderfully in this sentence as she and her husband descend into the complex debate of circumcision. Despite the serious nature of the topic, Susan brilliantly interlaces it with moments of humour (that had me laughing out loud) as the debate progresses. Then, just as you think you know where its going...she turns round and offers a wonderful smiling moment to end. Its a great piece that is sure to provide a few giggles!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: The Big Sneeze (or Much Achoo About Nothing)

The world of theatre is always complicated but in this case Morey has interlaced that complication with wonderful physical humour, brilliantly written word play and a wonderful romantic thread intertwined through it, resulting in this fabulously constructed piece. The audience are privileged enough to be a fly on the wall of this back stage area as the characters desperately try to get through a performance and real life but will they? Come and read to find out! I recommend you do!
