  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: True Will

You always know you're onto a winner when the character list makes you smile. From there you are catapulted into a brilliantly funny (laugh out loud funny) play with wonderfully witty back and forth dialogue ("Ah, yes. Noël Coward and the lesser Fleming. This cannot be good." - Fabulous!) This play is one that carries its audience through a fabulously funny story constructed of unique characters and great dialouge. Its that perfect mixture that makes a reader wants to see it live!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: The Bear - Bear Save The Queen!

I have said it many times about Chris's Bear Monologues, this bear needs his own Saturday morning cartoon show! This brilliantly written pieces could be a showcase by themselves "The various stages of Bear!" They are just wonderful pieces of comical writing that bring this wonderful character into your life! Quite honestly, I'd like to see what happens when this bear meets other bears because on his own he is fabulous so lord alone knows what would happen then! These are my favourite works of Chris's because they always make me smile and glance at my own teddy bear.

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Recommendation

This is a fabulous example of theatre that twists and turns. Its a complex tale of sex, power and what consequences there can be when you mix the two. Lane presents a wonderful opportunity for an actress to play a complicated and yet powerful character. You'll read this play thinking one thing for a while and then Jillian twists its expertly so you are constantly in a state of wonder and fascination with seeing how this emotion fuelled powerful story will end. I recommend you read it, just to find out!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Yet to Come

This is the first time in a while I've had to take stop and take several breaths on finishing a play. Its just an incredible piece that focusses how much a decision can change our lives. You can't help but think about the 'what ifs' that linger over the lives of these characters. You get so obsorbed in the story its impossible to not feel for Jean and her daughter as you witness their lives change for over with one decision. More than the story though, its a piece that inspires discussion and makes people think. Its just fabulously written.

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: VOICEMAIL (a one-minute radio play)

Sometimes there is a worry that one min plays can't provide but this piece couldn't be further from that. As the story over voicemail goes through you find yourself drawn into the tension and the high emotions with endless questions of 'what's happened?' and 'how is this going to end?' I found myself leaning forward wanting to know how its going move forward and then Julia delivered a wonderful ending, its just a great play with a wonderfully simplistic premise.

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Tipping

Tipping in itself is a topic that's great for discussion, and that is something this play provides loads of. Its such a wonderful feeling to watch these two people go back and forth in an almost 'will they or won't they?' type way. Equipped with Jillian's wonderful dialogue this could be a great piece for two actors.

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: MAKING MYTH

A wonderfully intriguing exploration of human interaction. Charles has taken the quite ordinary setting of a queue and provides us with wonderfully created characters who we are invited to watch interact. Its brilliantly done and the dialogue bounces back and forth leaving you unsure what is coming next. Really well done!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: HYPOTHETICAL - A One-Minute Play

A brilliant twist on the traditional game! Is a wonderful example of how there are no 'standard' answers for anything. A great use of dialogue and gives you a giggle, what more could you want?

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: The Window

Ok so the tagline for this piece IMMEDIATELY drew my eye and it definitely delivers! Just as when you think its going to be a humour filled piece about the strange places couples have sex, it becomes so much more than that! Marcia expertly presents the complexity of relationships between husbands and wives, children and parents as well as families in general, coupled with life changing decisions that come with having kids. Its a beautiful example of human nature, behaviour and emotion. A powerful piece of drama that could make a great performance for two actors.
