  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: MARY POPS IN

This is a brilliantly funny twist on a well known 'practically perfect' nanny that is sure to leave a smile on your face. Coupling her great character with the two boys, one frustrated by his nosy neighbour and one who is determined to mock is friend and you have nothing but laughs!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Bridal Shop Confessions

The complexity of female friendship is well known and Lindsey has done a great job of showcasing it here through the brilliant characters, from each unique member of the bridal party to the poor shop girl just trying to make sure everything goes smoothly. The audience are guided through the relationships between these women with brilliantly witty dialogue that is sure to resonate with some women. Its a great piece that is crying out of an audience and a wonderful cast of strong actresses.

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: The Portrait

Tears were brought to my eyes while reading this wonderful play. Bruce explores so much and still brilliantly captures the audiences heart as they witness this snapshot of how much time can change lives, how complicated family relationships can be and how much we can regret the time we lose with a person. I also liked the references to the medical situation the character found himself in as it allowed me (as a none USA native) to get a clearer idea of what the medical situation can be like. Its an all too real situation coupled with wonderful raw emotion!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: The Patient - Full Length Thriller

For me the mark of a good thriller is one that has you leaning forward in your chair as you travel through the story with a desperate want to know how it unfolds. That is what Ryan has created here. There were moments of questioning, eagerness and even the odd out loud 'no!' Its a play that is crying out for an audience because it is sure to hold their attention just as firmly as it held mine. Not only that, but its a great opportunity for performers to play brilliant and strong characters, can't ask for more!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: The Underworld of Penny Dreadful: Episode Two - The Case of the Cider and the Rose (On the Air Series)

From the moment I saw the cover page I knew this was a play for me! From there I very much enjoyed reading of the adventures of Penny Dreadful. I could see the locations that the writer was taking me to on this adventure as the mystery unfolded and to be able to create that from an audio play is a true gift, in my eyes. Quite honestly, its a story you wont want to turn away from and one that leaves you desperate to know what's going to happen next! A great piece by a great writer!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: An Idle Mind is the Devil’s Playground (from the THE WRINKLE RANCH AND OTHER PLAYS ABOUT GROWING OLD collection)

A wonderful use of the well known phrase is just one reason I loved this play! Deb takes two people, bored of the idea of retirement, mixes in the enticement of Satan and then you just get to sit back, laugh and watch the feathers fly before you are given one of the best twist endings I've read in a while. Its a great piece of comedy writing with wonderful dilaogue, great characters and will have you walking away with a smile on your face!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: What's in the Box?!

"How can you have an argument and not know the reason for it?" A sentiment a lot of couples will be familiar with as they witness this funny and yet curious conversation between two friends about what could possibly be in the box from his ex-girlfriend. Randy has expertly escalated the tension so that you yourself become desperate to know what is in the box. This coupled with the expertly crafted twists and turns make this a great little play of curiosity!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Dark and Stormy

It always pays to have friends of a supernatural nature! Scott creates a brilliant interaction between a mortal and a vengeful ghost that you think at first is going to end one way and then, in a very Scott-like fashion, he gives you a lovely twist that I couldn't help but smile at. I really loved this piece, not only as a piece by itself but also for the knowledge that it could be a fabulous story if expanded. Thank you Scott, you've left me wanting more.

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: The Black Angel

Once again, Cole demonstrates his wonderful ability to create images of legends and the potential consequences to them. In this piece, several young people debate over the validity of one such legend, unaware of how it is going to affect their lives. This play holds its audience in a state of curiosity, waiting for the moment when something changes. It creates for wonderful theatre as you are desperate to know how things will unfold. A perfect example of Cole's talent for horror/thriller writing.

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: The Paranormal Club's Seventh Annual Haunted House Sleepover

Oooooooooo! I have chills and goose bumps! Cole is a great writer of tension fuelled theatre and this is a prime example of that. As the unsuspecting young people explore the dark and foreboding home of a restless spirit, you as the audience are able to explore with them. Its a wonderful piece filled with escalating tension. It would not only make a great audio piece but I think with the sound effects coming from all around the audience, it would make a wonderful live theatre show to scare the living daylights out of you, in the best way!
