  • Christopher Plumridge: A Deadly Proposal

Ha! I was going to write, "Why isn't there a synopsis?" Thankfully I did not as there is too much fun to be had watching this story unfold. In 8 short pages Katie throws us and her two characters in every direction!

I would love to see this performed, in the meantime, do give it a read!

    Love it!

  • Christopher Plumridge: SOLID GOLD (2 minute monologue)

Ha, this is one OAP crowd I'd happily rock with!
Every generation has its own music, its favoured decade, but that doesn't mean to say we can't boogey to anything else, good knees or not!

  • Christopher Plumridge: I'd Do Anything For Love… But I Won't Do That: A TRIO of 1-Minute Plays

Three short one minute plays which gives us something different with each offering. I won't give anything away but there's a great laugh out load moment in the second of these three.
    And no sign of Meatloaf......

  • Christopher Plumridge: Life After

Lindsay is one of my favourite writers, read COOKIE CUTTER CHRISTMAS and you'll see why, for this playwright has such a knack of making a strange, or difficult situation seem perfectly innocent and natural.
In LIFE AFTER, Lindsay shows us just how innocent and pure the minds of young children can be.

But I have one big question, why does her father have Mrs Henderson in his basement?????

  • Christopher Plumridge: 4 Words of Advice (5 minute play)

Wow! We've all been in the receiving end of varied advice, but to have all this varied, conflicting advice would surely be overwhelming!

A clever, short experimental piece. Very good.

  • Christopher Plumridge: GURL TALK by Deb Meyer

Fun and poetic this short play is also about the many insecurities women often feel, and trying to live up to celebrity hype proves to not always be the best idea.
Their friendship is so very real as they debate the celebrity magazines.
As a man.... stay natural ladies, please

  • Christopher Plumridge: Cocktails

    Ha!
For once I feel sorry for the Big Bad Wolf, here he tries to make amends for all his misdemeanors by inviting fellow fairytale characters round for a cocktail party. Innocent enough, surely?
But what follows is a hilarious misunderstanding.
Cole has added some really funny quotes and lines here, which will make it a wonderful show to watch. Love it!

  • Christopher Plumridge: The Bells of the Sea

Young Marie can't sleep, for the waves are crashing so nearby. Spooky enough, but she turns to Grandmother for a bedtime story.... you see where this is going?
Only Rachel takes you and Marie further into a tale or yore, a chilling journey into the stormy sea. This has it all, and more, for this playwright doesn't just present a legendary tale, she also hits you with a devastating twist at the end.
Turndown the lights, stoke the fire, clutch your hot chocolate and watch this play!

  • Christopher Plumridge: Hold My Hand (a one-minute play)

Whoa! So many questions left open in one short play, questions Derek will have a tough time answering I'm sure!
There's lots that can be done with this play too, several options to who '?' can be...
    Great fun!

  • Christopher Plumridge: 101 CLICHES

Ha! Jack has really "Knocked it out of the park" with this one! Are there really 101 cliches in this? It feels like it, but let's not "count sheep." A clever, brilliantly executed experiment where you even buy into both characters!

Of course, the real challenge for actors in this play is to play it straight, good luck!

    Anyone for boardroom bingo?
