  • Christopher Plumridge: FLIRTING WITH TROUBLE - TWO MINUTES

Not so much a meet cute, as a meet trouble.
This is a clever play, as we'll never know just who out of this couple is in the most trouble. More please!

  • Christopher Plumridge: Simon Says

Treat yourselves and listen to this wonderfully creepy play on Gather by the Ghost Light podcast!
To take an innocent kids game and turn it on its head in quite a horrific way is inspired!
Now I will always do as Simon says, or maybe I have no choice anyway....
    Brilliant!

  • Christopher Plumridge: Colchis

This short, skillfully written by Alaina, reads as a folklore tradegy, with clever use of flashbacks and a chorus of any number of people providing the antagonist to the king.
I see this as a fine opportunity for a student group to take on, such is the strength of the main characters and the flexibility of the chorus roles.
    Great!

  • Christopher Plumridge: Problem Solving

Haha! This pretty much sums up many meetings in my company!
Also, this reads very much like a Monty Python sketch.
Give this a read, better still, produce it!

  • Christopher Plumridge: No Man's Land

This is a clever monologue where gender judgement is flipped on its head. It's rhyming and poetic too.
This should be read to lots of arrogant men out there.

  • Christopher Plumridge: US AMBASSADOR TO UKRAINE: A MONOLOGUE

A monologue so relevant it needs to be performed now, especially after events from yesterday (28 March 2025) during Zelensky's meeting with Trump and his bullies.
    An excellent and important monologue.

  • Christopher Plumridge: Within The Garden Walls

So this is a sweet little fantasy, lyrical and poetic, subtle and rhythmic. A cat and mouse game of solitaire and chess, and of gentle argument. I think this would make a great character study for students, and there's many ways to bring out the fantasy.
Clever and unusual, a pleasure to read!

  • Christopher Plumridge: It's the Thought... That Kills!

This dark noir has it all, a hard drinking, gambling PI, a dame with a past so dark you couldn't see through it and a dead body who still has a voice. Chuck in the usual brilliant Busser dark comedy and you have the perfect noir.
And how the inner monologues start talking to each is inspired!

  • Christopher Plumridge: An Introversion Theory (One-minute play)

We are all guilty of judging people, it's human nature and thankfully most keep it to themselves. In this monologue we meet a self confessed introvert, who in just a short space of time declares her reasons in being how she is, it clears the air perfectly over a cup of coffee on the balcony.
Lots here for a meaningful audition piece.

  • Christopher Plumridge: WHERE THE TRUTH LIES

This clever little play goes into the box marked: 'Why didn't i think of this!'
Who better to star in a Noir than Dracula himself?!
No spoilers here, just give it a read and better still, produce it!
