  • Christopher Plumridge: Amid the Bombs, a Monologue

This speech by a teacher is perfectly to the point, they remind the children that adults, their parents included, are insecure, scared, especially in difficult times, and this makes them do strange things. Maybe if we teach children this, they will grow up more secure and be able to cope when bad times come and pass.

  • Christopher Plumridge: Three Little Words, a Monologue

The Internet is a vast and wonderful invention, full of so much knowledge and good. However, as we are all too aware, there is a dark side to it, where cowards hide.
Boyle presents us with a moving monologue where three nasty words said by such a coward can have disastrous effect on many.
    An excellent monologue.

  • Christopher Plumridge: I'm Sorry

Oh my, as a pet owner this, monologue plucked at my heart. It's the worst thing to have to do, but we know we must. Chris addresses this sad situation at the end of a loved ones life, with sensitivity and poise, for this old cat has been there as his protagonist has been growing up. A truly moving tribute to a dear friend.

  • Christopher Plumridge: Three Drunk Poets Find God

We are often told to 'get into the minds of writers' these two students take this litteraly and head for the woods armed with plenty of wine. Their acting is fun, they are enjoying the olde worlde language, that is until a certain Emily Dickinson comes along to kick in some reality!
Research is best left to the night before the test, which is why I failed English Literature at school....
    Love it!

  • Christopher Plumridge: Tree Hugs

What a wonderful short play this is, I have sad tears and happy tears! Davis is high, he's camping, he hugs a tree... but the tree doesn't like it, they have... history.
This is pure delight from the pen of Evan, I would love to see this staged!

  • Christopher Plumridge: Nightmare

In one short monologue, Karen sums up the relentless ordeal all nurses and doctors must have gone through during the panic. This nurses dreams haunt them, even when not asleep, they're tired beyond all belief, they need sleep. Yet after two hours of fractured sleep, they are still prepared to go back to the job they love most.
A fitting tribute to all health care workers around the world.

  • Christopher Plumridge: Bank Slip

Aha, what a fun and fitting way to bring in an audience member for their one minute of fame! This brother and sister she look like being hosed, can they find that slip of paper? Good tension building up to a good ending.

  • Christopher Plumridge: DINNER

Oooh this is a dark tale where MISERY meets SILENCE OF THE LAMBS, all in the quaint setting of Ernest and Hilda's dinning room. This elderly couple are polite, caring and at the same time sinister, for the tension builds and builds, but you can't help to see a happy ending coming for all....
    But the twist....!!
    Wonderful!

  • Christopher Plumridge: Never Turn Your Back on the Ocean

Stories are often set in a future where mankind has pretty much destroyed the Earth, but here Lee takes us to a frightening scenario where all the seas have dried up. Still there are tourists, coming to look at the last pool of water on our forsaken planet.
But the god with an unpronounceable name has other ideas for these remaining humans. A great play with a big message.

  • Christopher Plumridge: The Greatest Jewish Summer Camp Game Ever Played

I LOVE this short play by David! Artie is such a wonderful, cheeky character and, through hard work, gets the girl of his dreams!
I love how the playwright describes the rolling scenes, of which all producers should be encourage to adhere to, especially the slow-mo chariots of fire tennis shot!
    Great fun!
