  • Christopher Plumridge: WTF

    O-M-G-I-L-T-P !
I grew up before cell phones, I don't always, correction, I rarely understand the acronyms used these days but I have LOL for this play. Lots of Love, right? Oh.
Maybe we all do not communicate very well anymore....
    WTF is G8!

  • Christopher Plumridge: Duo

Right from the character descriptions this play had me giggling like the school boy I was watching the original Batman and Robin series. DUO covers so many superhero stereotypes as well as introducing us to many more modern, politically correct ethics in the form of Gravel Girl. She's sassy, clever, quick witted and she knows exactly what she wants, and what better time to demand her equal working conditions than when her boss is shackled to a wall watching a ticking bomb count down?
I absolutely adore this play, I would love to produce it!

  • Christopher Plumridge: Hair Tuck, Half Smile

A dream within a dream...erm within a dream? This is a unique, odd and wonderful play. We sometimes dream this way and wake up confused, then reality slowly kicks in and we have to face up to it... and in this case to try to save what we love.
Maybe a hair tuck and half smile might...just possibly... save the day.
This would be a fun challenge to stage.

  • Christopher Plumridge: What Melvin Bought for This Week's Game Night

Haha, this is a dark, comedic use of the Ouija board and the results are hilarious. 'Be careful what you ask for' or maybe be careful who you summon?
Thus would be so much fun to stage!

  • Christopher Plumridge: Hotel Room Checkout

HOTEL ROOM CHECKOUT is a hilarious short play, which also has a lot to say about hotel service and the attitudes of its guests. For we see here an insight as to how some guests behave and what mess they leave behind.
I also have to say the twist at the end took me completely by surprise! Very clever!

  • Christopher Plumridge: DISPARATE ROADS (a 10 minute play)

Set in 1947, you can believe young Janine has a fight on her hands to get the future she wants and deserves. But Janine is tough, she's focused, she knows what she wants, but it doesn't make the spilt any easier, because love is multi-faceted.
This play by Marj is a true reflection of the times, it's tender and well written, as well as a touch heart rendering. Very good.

  • Christopher Plumridge: A Play Within a Play Within a Play

This is a fun play within a play. The actors intertwine with their characters perfectly and at times you are unsure whether they are reading on or off script, then it loops back again.
So, for most of this play it's a will they/won't they... read this for yourself to discover the outcome.
    A unique and clever play!

  • Christopher Plumridge: Diet Coke

How far would we go to help a friend, when a haul of coke, and not Diet Coke, is at stake?
Jessica poses this scenario to great effect in this short play. There's high energy from the word go, and this product of the 80's would also have dropped everything to watch Dynasty!

  • Christopher Plumridge: Passion Therapy

What a funny premise to have a daughter give their parents a voucher for counciling! This sets the scene very well and I commend Rachel for giving the Doctor such a strong personality of their own. This is a fun play of which you won't see the ending coming.
A bad day for this doctor to give up smoking, but things are looking 'up' for this couple!

  • Christopher Plumridge: A Minute Past Midnight on Valentine's Day, or, the Untold Truth about Romantics [a 1-minute play]

Credit to a writer who can produce such a short powerful piece like Steven does here!
In so few words the back story is set, the romance builds, then.... BAM!
    Very clever!
