  • Christopher Plumridge: Egg and Chips

Egg and Chips, a dish I'm personally not that fond of, but Rachel serves us up a sweet, tender plate of memories in this gentle, heartwarming, yet heartbreaking play. I waited and waited to learn of the circumstances which lead to Vera's demise, but this is not what this play is about. This would be lovely to see staged, audiences will be drawn to Daphne throughout. Lovely.

  • Christopher Plumridge: True Will

To bring such varied historical characters together like this is truly inspired! Triplett brings us such a strong, believable character analysis of Noel Coward, and I couldn't help but smile as I saw the story of Blythe Spirit unfold. Indeed this whole play had me smiling throughout, I would love to see this staged, it would be hilarious! There's even one section where the characters find the whole story so unbelievable that they assume they might be in a play themselves! BRILLIANT!

  • Christopher Plumridge: A Wicked Slice

I'm not a fan of golf. Now I'm even less a fan of golf. So let me explain, the ever brilliant Busser gives us here a morbidly dark comedy on the rules and etiquette of golf, as these colleagues come across something rough in the rough! Read this for yourself, while I walk my dogs far away from any golf course! A wicked slice of Busser indeed!

  • Christopher Plumridge: New Kid Next Door

An idyllic setting, 4th July, friends waiting for the fireworks when the new kid next door pops by.....what could go wrong? There are subtle hints to the direction of this piece as it plays out, but they don't prepare you for the clever final twist! I love he way the writer keeps this mystery subtle, leaving the audience to make up their mind. Love it!

  • Christopher Plumridge: WEDDING BELL BLUES (a 10 minute comedy)

This is a great little two hander and I couldn't help feel sorry for the mother of the bride, even though she expected to make ALL the wedding plans! The twist at the end was so heartwarming, lovely!

  • Christopher Plumridge: A Benevolent Alliance of Mourners

I've just listened to this beautiful play on Gather by the Ghostlights podcast, it's amazing! I don't wish to give any spoilers, read it for yourself, better still listen to it, or see it being staged. One touching line amongst others: " Tell me stuff so someone knows"
    This play is stunning!

  • Christopher Plumridge: A Perfect Two

I've just listened to A PERFECT TWO on the wonderful Gather by the Ghostlight podcast. Newsham gives us a sweet couple who are indeed a perfect two, as they knock each other down the scale from 10 to 2 until they realise the truth about their relationship. I love this play!

  • Christopher Plumridge: Off Center

Having just listened to a well produced version of this play on a podcast, I strongly recommend you do the same. If you've ever pondered the merits of some art in a modern gallery and wondered if they are a masterpiece or just smatterings of paint thrown on a canvas, I know I have, then read this, as it may well make you think again. Three well thought out characters bring this art to life and its a beautiful story!

  • Christopher Plumridge: Once Again

ONCE AGAIN is very interesting, a clever amalgamation of a family saga and a murder mystery. I soon became hooked, wanting to know what was going on here. Nicely staged with flashbacks and monologues direct to the audience....and throw in a healthy dose of double crossing along the way!
All said I'd love to try a bottle of '85 vintage......

  • Christopher Plumridge: The Elevator Play

THE ELEVATOR PLAY is a clever, short two hander which completely took me by surprise, I won't spoil it by telling your why, read it for yourself, produce it!
A sophisticated play which is clever on all levels. (Pun intended!)
