  • Christopher Plumridge: MELT

Oh my word, this is stunning! The image of Grandpa, so in tune and in love with the glaciar that he melts with it, even with his granddaughter looking on, is incredible.
With global warming a massive and alarming issue to the earth, this is a play which should be performed to world leaders to make them finally understand. Excellent!

  • Christopher Plumridge: Ten Minutes 'til Christmas!

Thank you Mr Vinero, for saving me from enduring two hours of a Hallmark Christmas film with your clever, witty, perfectly sarcastic ten minute play! This is a wonderfully astute look at the twee holiday television schedule and I do expect, if staged, there to be seventeen commercial breaks throughout! Very clever!

  • Christopher Plumridge: Recording Booth

Haha! Poor voice-over man with his ill advised latest gig! Despite a perfectly inappropriate product to endorse, he remains professional and records the ad. I'm sure the sound technician will have the same fate as the agent! Great, awkward fun!

  • Christopher Plumridge: Tinder

What is it we're are always told, mainly by our parents? - Honesty is the best policy! But maybe the truth is hard to accept by some, especially in this situation. A funny and slightly awkward short!

  • Christopher Plumridge: Santa vs. the Plotholes

There is a beautiful sentiment in this great little Christmas play as Santa reminds us adults, (those who still believe and those that chose not to) that we all have a role to play in the magic of Christmas. Love it!

  • Christopher Plumridge: A Night on the Bridge

A NIGHT ON A BRIDGE is beautiful, in the hands of a director who fully understands the magic and sentiment in this piece it will be stunning to watch. Aside from the points previously touched on in other recommendations, we often curse our jobs, wishing we were free, but really they a such a linchpin in our lives, one that holds us together, financially and emotionally. That said, I would love to be a professional writer able to write plays as good as this, it really is beautiful.

  • Christopher Plumridge: No More Flowers

How inspired, to bring two great characters from history and throw them together. Oddly I am more familiar with O'Keeffe than I am Freud, so I feel for Georgia, as she takes pride in displaying her wonderful detailed artwork of flowers, only to have Freud over analyze her brilliance and find completely different and sexual meanings, it's almost laughable.
But haven't we all been there with our art, one way or another, to hear someone find a whole new meaning in our work? A very astute piece.

  • Christopher Plumridge: Victim

It takes a great writer to create such a powerful, engaging character in the first paragraph, and Rachel is one such great writer. To take her character, build a world and history for her and present such a compelling piece is a work of art in itself.

Them, the final four words, shake the audience, just as they will the doctor.

Gritty and desperate, this would be a wonderful monologue for an actor to challenge themselves with.

  • Christopher Plumridge: Fiddle Faddle

Ha, this is a fantastically funny short play, I f(bleep)king love it! Having told my stepsons never to swear in the house, especially not in their mother's presence, I can totally relate to this piece, for they would say I was fricking annoying for imposing this pooey rule!
Personally if the 'bleeps' are not quite perfectly timed that would make this play all the more funnier!
And the last line is genius! Bleeping marvelous!

  • Christopher Plumridge: In A World...

Ah poor Carl! I love the whole premise of this play, a brilliantly hilarious voice-over man guiding our anti-hero to his first proper date with his crush. It's so fun watching this take its course, in my head I had voice-over man echoing in my mind as I read.
Then finally we arrive on date night where the brilliant twist takes place, I hope the other guests in this restaurant can hear the voice off stage too!
I give this play one of my highest compliments - I want to produce it!
