  • Christopher Plumridge: OUTCASTS AND REBELS (a 10 minute play)

OUTCASTS AND REBELS is such a sweet two hander, as Gram has found her missing granddaughter hiding in a cafe. Marj has encapsulated their relationship beautifully and a few revelations come out, mainly to young Cassie. Oh, and the final line caught me by surprise and made me laugh out loud. Wonderful!

  • Christopher Plumridge: 'A'ohe loa i ka hana a ke aloha (Distance is Ignored by Love)

Oh I love this! Nora sets the scene so perfectly with so few words and we're transported seamlessly to a Hawaiian hotel lobby bar. Here the tourist and the piano man (who was) share a drink called loneliness, well it's better than drinking alone.
    Moving and simply beautiful!

  • Christopher Plumridge: The Frogs' Revenge

Ha! I've never eaten frogs legs before, now maybe I won't! This glutton has had too many and the frogs kick back! Great fun, dark, but great!

  • Christopher Plumridge: elephants

Oh my, this play made me cry and I'm sure it will leave any audience emotional. I praise the author for suggesting (politely insisting!) Lily be played by an autistic person, because there are so few roles available to the autistic. Also the references to elephants and their family unity make this all the more emotional. Simply stunning.

  • Christopher Plumridge: THE CASE OF THE STOLEN MOON

Apparently stars are for sale...and we can own a small part of the galaxy. As if intergalactic real estate exists! Here Monica has come up with a unique idea, someone has 'taken' a moon, ok only a small moon, but the 'owners' are very upset. A clever concept well written.

  • Christopher Plumridge: FORGETFULLY YOURS - a monologue

As writers, we need to write things which need to be told, so I congratulate Monica for this. I have very little understanding of ADHD, so I thank the author for this valuable insite. On an aside, if someone I met on a first date said this to me, I'd say something like: "Thanks for letting me know, now let's go to dinner together." An excellent monologue.

  • Christopher Plumridge: ONE FOOT IN FRONT OF THE OTHER

This is a sweet two hander, just the kind of conversation which takes place during the preparation for big events, when strangers meet with a common interest. However, if Nathan took the time to listen to his new friend, maybe he would have seen the twist a lot earlier! I would say Paul has done his research, but I'm aware he's a marathon runner himself. Bravo nonetheless!

  • Christopher Plumridge: Happy Holidays?

So this is what happens if you personify the seasons and its holidays! Poor Anna stuck in the middle of all this melee as one by one each holiday or season tests her patience with their own over inflated egos! And it's a sign of the times that even Black Friday gets a role, poor Black Friday has to go back out, the day after Thanksgiving has over indulged, for one day more....
Great fun with several deeper meanings. Nice!

  • Christopher Plumridge: The Name of Action

What a fun trio of characters make up this short dark comedy, a herbalist,a bone carver and best of all a caravan park manager with an unusual syndrome! I was lucky enough to watch an online reading of this play which bought it to life perfectly. Great work!

  • Christopher Plumridge: Feminine Care

YES! There should be instructions for men in such aisles for ladies products, this will reduce embarrassment no end! I'm a step father, thankfully to two boys so I've only faced this predicament on rare shopping missions for my wife and no matter how hard I tried, I nearly always got it wrong! You've hit the nail on the head, spot on Mr Weaver!
