  • Christopher Plumridge: Uncertain Egg-Town

Any audience lucky enough to see this darkly funny play will never look at a chicken coop in the same way again! We are transported to a scrambled egg factory (brilliant btw!) and we see a tale of friendship amongst hens as they begin to understand what goes on outside the shed. You are drawn into this friendship, watching it takes its logical path, then BAM! the ending takes you by surprise. Brilliant and original!

  • Christopher Plumridge: Scarecrow

This dad has a great idea to take Halloween scaring to a whole new level and it sounds like a wonderful idea! But as we watch his plans unfold we can't help but see the pitfalls and likely outcomes. Still, he needs the notoriety and I believe his family will tell him afterwards "I told you so!" A fun monologue.

  • Christopher Plumridge: Fucking Bruce Banner (10 Min)

Oh my word I haven't laughed so much in ages, this would be a huge delight for any adult audience! The character descriptions are funny enough (braggadocious!), let alone the play. I often wonder what happens to superheroes once the films dry up, here's your answer, they have a family and live in suburbia. One twist leads to another, we find out Supermans other, hilarious, weakness before the big reveal. Absolutely hilarious!!

  • Christopher Plumridge: Speaking of Dildos (sketch comedy)

Oh no! Read the synopsis of this short funny play and take heed, or face having to explain the 'toys' in your drawer! I would love to see the look on Dad's face when he returns home, great fun!

  • Christopher Plumridge: The Big Sneeze (or Much Achoo About Nothing)

This is billed as a lighthearted romantic comedy, rightly so, but much more. It's a 'will they/won't they' as we see hapless Larry firstly notice what he's been missing that's right under his nose, then to actually do something about it, all the while having to deal with a fractured rib brought on by a sneeze! Trying to stifle a sneeze backstage during a show - most of us have been there! Find out for yourself if Larry wins Pam's heart. This would be fun to produce, if only to watch Larry's antics!

  • Christopher Plumridge: Snowing In November

Ha! I confess I am a bit of a grinch! Christmas should only appear in December, perhaps if I were mayor, I would enforce this! But bless Jenna for following family tradition and decorating early, even though it may look like an elf has s**t all over her lounge! (the authors words!)
There's a wonderful line about baby bear, so read this sweet holiday play to find out for yourself!
As with so many short plays I read, there is so much more that can be done with this play, but as it is it's 'swell' !

  • Christopher Plumridge: Settle and Reach

This is as sweet, clever short play, as aptly named Adam and Evelyn are 'matched' on a one-way expedition to a new planet. The relationship they form is natural, touching, even with the secret Evelyne is hiding. I love how the author world builds in such a short time frame. There's fun to be had here too, I really enjoyed watching this couple come together and I'm sure they will share love, albeit not in the conventional way their organizers would wish. A lovely play!

  • Christopher Plumridge: Confessions of the Big Bad Wolf (10 Minute play)

Ha, Mr Big 'Ethical' Wolf! I love this spin on the big bad wolf as he comes to see the error of his ways. But in all fairy tales, we need the bad guy, the wolf, the antagonist. Will Mr Big Bad listen to his wife and turn things back round. Read this fun play for yourself to find out, it's a real hoot...I mean howl!

  • Christopher Plumridge: Hot Blood Sundae

Take a difficult subject, add in some squeamish lines, then some fast-paced dialogue and you have an excellent two hander by Kantor. I love the vegan who wants to eat a cow, just so long as it's blindfolded! Wonderful, albeit dark and animalistic, fun!

  • Christopher Plumridge: Dinner as a Family

Oh, these school shootings seem to be such common place that they become regular news stories which are not paid much attention too. However, this family, with their trivial TV issue, still hold this school and the potential victims in their prayers. The final stage direction is heartbreaking, and I can fully imagine this family eating in silence for the rest of the meal. A powerful play in just a few pages.
