  • Christopher Plumridge: Justin Thyme III

Haha! Add an Uber and an argumentative Siri to all the fun and confusing names and you have yet another fabulously funny installment of Justin Thyme! This would be so fun to stage, using just the center of the stage, the characters sliding from side to side in the car with flashing lights behind, brilliant!!

  • Christopher Plumridge: Justin Thyme II

More brilliant hilarity, this time in the confines of a high speed train. The pace and hilarious word play make these chapters of the intrepid Justin Thyme addictive. I love the names of each character and the confusion which always ensues! Even the Conductor is a wonderful, a French accent but doesn't speak French ha!
New character suggestion from me.... IVANA REEDMORE....

  • Christopher Plumridge: Blood Pact

I had the honour of reading the character Philip in a zoom reading, I choose the word honour rather than pleasure, for this Philip is a dark character in a dark play. Kudos to Debra for taking on such a story and making it feel chillingly real, one can't help relate this to Fred and Rosemary West, infamous in the UK. Excellent.

  • Christopher Plumridge: STAR TRIPS!

Ha! Right from take-off we're plunged into manic insanity and a wonderful take off of Star Trek! If only William Shatner could star in this! Great fun, when is the next episode?

  • Christopher Plumridge: Teddy

I love this Teddy! He has such a fabulous attitude and wit! The interaction between Mr Talksalot and Oakley is moving, natural... well as natural as it can be with a bear with such a high vocabulary. Aside, Martin shows us the deep love Oakleys parents had had for them, and they had for their parents, departed too soon, and the grief is present yet not overpowering. Totally wonderful! (p.s. I love the notes for portraying Teddy at the start - fab!)

  • Christopher Plumridge: Breakwater

Oh my, the love this couple have for each other is so deep and profound, it shows now more than ever while Monty is suffering a suspected heart attack and facing his deepest fear. Audiences will be gripped from the word go in this tender two hander, as I was, and no breakwater could stop my tears. Beautiful!

  • Christopher Plumridge: A True Ghost Story

This is such a clever play, it's a ghost story of course and we can decide to believe or not, but here the playwright tells this story in such a believable way. At no point is it fantasised, or exaggerated in any way. Having a narrator relay the events is inspired, it makes you feel as if you're in the house with Dorothy. I'm sure any audience will experience a similar chill. I love it!

  • Christopher Plumridge: The Replacement

Well, this arrogant white nationalist certainly meets his match in Sylvia, in this clever little stand off play which seesaws between fantasy and reality. Morey gives us a tender balance between hate and humour, I do believe there is a much longer play to be written here, but it holds its own as it is.

  • Christopher Plumridge: Justin Thyme I

Oh don't you just hate it when you get a jobs worth holding you up? Worse if you happen to be a CIA agent. This play is hilarious with some great word play. I can't wait to read the others in this series, I hope Juan Bad Dude makes an appearance! Great fun!

  • Christopher Plumridge: Armrest (a monologue)

Straight to the point, this monologue deals with a tricky situation, or rather a downright tricky and rude travelling companion forced upon this poor man! Scott brings us expertly into the mind of this man and we feel for him, this makes it palpable. Every flight I've been on there has been an 'awkward' passenger, so I'd soon take issue with this 'lady'!
