  • Jeffrey James Keyes: I LOVE A PARADE, a 10-minute dystopian political drama

Rose's powerful and poignant political drama is daring and well crafted. It really builds on some nightmares of the past while exploring innate concerns many of us harbor in contemporary times. Arianna's writing, and dialogue in particular, is skillful and fearless. Excellent work.

  • Jeffrey James Keyes: CONVERSATION THAT NEVER HAPPENS IN 99.9% OF NEWSROOMS

This is a really fun play. I love when playwrights really know how to nail short form like this. Well done, Adam!

I tried not to read the other comments or tags on this play before taking a look and I'm so glad I didn't! What a fun play. I love the curveballs Gatton packs into this punch of a play and the interweaving of realism and vampire horror, it makes perfect sense for the time we're currently living in. I really hope theatres start producing evenings of short plays by this talented dramatist, I'd be the first to stand in line for a ticket. Well done, maestro.

  • Jeffrey James Keyes: A FRIENDLY WAGER

I was really struck this fun and powerful play by the witty and talented Yolanda Wilkinson. This piece grabs you from the get go and truly makes you feel like a fly on the wall in a night to remember for this group of women. I love how layered the text (and subtext) is, how Wilkinson tackles topical issues with a strong scene that many can relate to. I'd really love to see this play up on it's feet, it would be such a treat to buckle up and enjoy the ride. Wonderful work, Yolanda!

  • Jeffrey James Keyes: Everything Indian

This play is so smart and well executed. I love the scenes between Shree and Navin and the overarching commentary on play development and the theatre industry throughout. Shenoy’s well crafted dialogue and clear point of view is strong and engaging. I’d love to see this up on its feet, and what a delicious meal for four actors to tackle together (and it ends with a dance number!) Excellent work!

I love the nuance and rich subtext that Shenoy conveys in this powerful new two-handed set in a cab leaving JFK. It takes a strong dramatist to craft a piece that’s this engaging and thought provoking. Excellent dialogue and structure, really wonderful work!

  • Jeffrey James Keyes: Bedford and Squalor

I loved this play and Hill’s smooth grasp of dialogue and storytelling. I’m impressed with the way Bedford and Squalor captures the spirit & energy of the young artist’s journey through the complicated landscape of NYC. The conversation around success and failure and interrogation of what success means is engaging, powerful, and deeply poignant. I look forward to reading (and seeing) more work by this fine dramatist. Well done!

  • Jeffrey James Keyes: THE PATTERNS OF LOVE

It was a real treat to read this play within a play and I love how it intersects with Shakespeare's As You Like It. There were moments where I was legit laughing out loud and Rowan found some fun moments of broken expectation. This would be such a fun addition to a season. If you're looking for a strong comedy for a big cast look no further. Wonderful work with strong, sharp dialogue and a keen reverence & unique points of intersection with one of the Bard's most popular comedies! Well done.

  • Jeffrey James Keyes: XANDRA: A PTA MEETING MONOLOGUE

Xandra, like many of Asher's characters, is such a guilty pleasure. I really enjoyed this monologue and really appreciate how this work leaps off of the page and calls us to action in a myriad of unexpected ways. We're there with you, Xandra, lemme whip out my credit card to support you in your professional endeavors. This is one PTA meeting that those gossipy ole wasps will never forget!

  • Jeffrey James Keyes: Abandonment [a 1-minute play]

This is one of the most powerful and (as a queer man who grew up Catholic) completely relatable scripts about faith I've read in a long time. It's short, intense, and completely gripping. Steven G. Martin is a master! Excellent work.
