  • Jeffrey James Keyes: Adult Competitive Playground GO!

Man, I just love this play & Young's writing and would love to be in the audience for this play. This clever, nuanced commentary on society through familiar/childhood games is such a delicious treat to read. The audience is in for so many surprises, I can't wait to see a production of this one day!

  • Jeffrey James Keyes: DINNER AT 40 (screenplay by Peter Macklin)

This is an outstanding short, I caught a screening of it at Outfest and think there's a great deal of room for expansion. Macklin's point of view and intriguing, well rounded characters set up an engrossing dinner party that it's fun to be a fly on the wall for.

  • Jeffrey James Keyes: TikTok

I really loved this monologue and was hooked immediately. I love monologues and scenes where you truly feel like you're a fly on a wall hearing personal secrets or catching a glimpse of someone sharing something intimate. Bluestein-Lyons has crafted a bold and strong monologue that's rich with nuance and of this moment. Wonderful work.

  • Jeffrey James Keyes: Confirmation Bias

I really appreciate Malakhow's fictional riff on this historic and lesser known study. I didn't know much about Hooker's study and was engrossed in this unexpected encounter and pleasantly surprised by where this wonderful writer guided us through his storytelling. I love this piece and Malakhow's writing. Outstanding work.

  • Jeffrey James Keyes: For The Birds

I really enjoyed this short and will never look at a pigeon the same. This is a fun, experimental script that would definitely be fun to stage and include in a night of one-acts. Great dialogue, sweet, and interesting. Great work, Leah.

  • Jeffrey James Keyes: Leave Me Alone

Devine's strong and heartfelt American tragedy is gut wrenching and relatable. "Leave Me Alone" is engrossing and packs several punches. Excellent dialogue and the plot moves like a ticking timebomb while weaving between the past and present. Well orchestrated! I'd love to see this play onstage.

  • Jeffrey James Keyes: The Golden Rule

I really appreciate how Taube is writing into social contemporary social issues. His investigation into white privilege is strong and engaging. This play would make an excellent addition to a lineup of short plays and really goes below the surface in exciting and dynamic ways. I love the surprises at the end, and power shift. Well done!

  • Jeffrey James Keyes: Hair Tuck, Half Smile

I got such a kick out of this play. Smart, funny, poignant, with a bit of delicious nostalgia for those of us who ventured to Bayside once a week in the late 90's. Gatton's writing and humor is crisp and delightful, he takes you on a fun journey with a hefty bag of celebrity junk food packed along for the ride. It starts off with "Joey & Pacey", what more could you want in a short comedic play?

  • Jeffrey James Keyes: I Still Wonder What Happened To Robin Williams

I Still Wonder What Happened to Robin Williams is a well crafted, heartfelt meditation of our time. Charlie Jackson, an introverted extrovert with a heart of gold, leads us through a seemingly routine moment that becomes deeply personal. I'm a longtime fan of Louis DeVaughn Nelson's writing and this monologue does not disappoint.
