Diversity and acceptance are topics that we are *finally* beginning to have real conversations about, and Kaplan's "A Real Boy" is a wonderfully artistic addition to those conversations. It's funny and heartfelt. And there are puppets!
  • Who Will Sing for Lena
    27 Jul. 2022
One of the best solo plays I've read in a long time. This piece, is agonizing, timely, important. Lena is a woman I will never forget.

With witty dialogue and fantastic characters, Daniel Prillaman strips back the façade of "office space life" and takes us on a journey that by turns punches you in the gut and makes you howl with laughter. A very timely piece that should be produced ASAP.

Everything a fairy tale should be! Wonderful characters and a beautiful love story--perfect for community and professional theatres, this would make an awesome touring show!

What to say without giving too much away? This play is beautiful and brilliant and should be a regular at festivals and if I say anymore I might spoil the plot so that will have to do for now. Put this show on it's feet and keep producing it because WOW!!! Also, Helen is a master creation that any actress would love to play!

What is a hero? What is a villain? Is justice really justice? As a proud geek, I love me a good superhero story and Jarred Corona does not disappoint! This play starts off with a bang and goes full tilt until the end. Corrona could give Marvel/DC a good run for their money.
  • The Rowan Knight

I've heard the song that this play is based on and I love it! Karen Fix Curry takes us on a medieval journey full of magic, unrequited love and action. Perfect for high school competitions or community theatre programs. A complete delight!

A conversation about the Bible has the potential to be difficult. A conversation about rape has equal potential to be difficult. However, Goldman-Sherman tackles these difficult but very relevant subjects in this eye-opening story with poetry and power told through the voices of women that actresses would love to sink their teeth into. Also, it's in verse!

It's "Get Smart" meets "James Bond"! John Perovitch has created an actor's and production team's dream in this wonderfully comic and high action pastiche. Perfect for community theatres, high school, middle school and college. Put this show on it's feet and people of all ages will get a huge kick(no pun intended) out of it.

One of my favorite books growing up! Donna Hoke has brought it to life in a way that makes me remember why I loved it so much. This play seamlessly updates the material without shying away from the original and brings Anne Shirley and Company magically to life!
