  • Chelsea Frandsen: A Deadly Engagement

I love the "house party murder mystery" genre, and Rachel Feeny-Williams doesn't disappoint! With the verve of Agatha Christie, Anne Perry, and Rhys Bowen this play is must for any murder mystery fan and will delight audiences and production teams alike. Put this onstage soon!

  • Chelsea Frandsen: It's an honour Mr Shakespeare

As a fan of both David Tennant and William Shakespeare, I was delighted with this piece! It's a hysterical and clever piece perfect for festivals. Highly recommend!

  • Chelsea Frandsen: Discovery

Ethics vs legality makes great drama and Marjorie Bicknell has created one that grabs you and takes you on a
messy, authentic, and riveting ride--no nicely tied up answers here, and that's exactly how it's supposed to be. Perfect for festivals and colleges alike. So very good!

  • Chelsea Frandsen: Holy Virgins

Oh my goodness I want to be all of these women when I grow up! Kathryn de la Rosa has created beautiful authentic characters in Sam, Marina and Jesse who navigate discovering their racial, sexual and religious identities in a piece of theatre that actresses will love. It's hysterically funny and poignant and passionate and should be produced as soon as possible.

  • Chelsea Frandsen: Copper Angel

For many many reasons, Anna Coleman Ladd has long been one of my heroes so I was excited beyond belief to come across this marvelous play! McClain has taken this powerhouse of a woman and told her story with poetry, empathy, and realism that brings Ladd and her greatest acheivement to stunning life.

  • Chelsea Frandsen: Depend on Me

We've all lived through Roommate Hell, but not like this! Celia and Monica are each powerhouse females in their own right, and just two of the fantastic characters that Brian Maticic has created. The payoff is one of my favorite parts of and the darkly comic undertones make this play truly shine!

  • Chelsea Frandsen: Windfall

Fabulous! Brian Maticic has a talent for dark comedy, and it shows! Trent, Olivia, and Owen are fantastic and quirky characters that actors will love to explore (Trent is undoubtedly my favorite); and Theresa, Randy, and Mom add wonderful flavor. The comic twists and turns(especially the dark ones) are masterfully done. Give this play a read and then put it on it's feet--audiences will love it!!!!

  • Chelsea Frandsen: Mestiza, or Mixed

I'm always excited to read Melissa Leilani Larson's work no matter what phase it's in. While I do understand this work is still in "early draft" mode, this play is one I'd love to see live whenever it's ready. Larson has created an amazing character in Lark and her quest for identity kept me riveted. This is the type of story we need more of, especially now, and I applaud Mel for telling it!

  • Chelsea Frandsen: OPHELIA LATER

You think you know what happened to Ophelia...and then Harrison Bryan throws a curve ball that leaves you breathless with shock and giggles of dark humor! A great entry for any theatre festival and a fun piece for theatre artists to show off their acting chops!
