  • Chelsea Frandsen: Seneca and the Soul of Nero (Full-length play)

History plays are a weakness of mine, and I'm so happy to have discovered this one! Both Nero and Senica are beautifully authentic and the relationship between them is one actors would love to dive into. The play is full of fantastic roles for both actors and actresses and is perfect for college, professional or festival productions. Thank you Marcia Eppich-Harris for reminding me why I love Roman history so much!

  • Chelsea Frandsen: But What Am I?

This devastating and beautiful play about coming to terms with identity and the mistakes of a loved one is one of the most heartfelt and authentic I've read in a long time. Venecia Coleman is one to watch.

  • Chelsea Frandsen: Under Cover of Darkness By the Light of the Moon, or "Nobody Was Supposed To Be Here" A Tale of the Pacific Northwest

An unexpected delight! Scott Sickles drops you right in middle and reels you in quick. Love it so much!

  • Chelsea Frandsen: How My Grandparents Fell in Love

In the middle of one of the darkest periods in modern history, this delightful play about love and immigration gives you something to smile about with plenty of warm fuzzies.

  • Chelsea Frandsen: THE COLOR WHISPERER

Racial politics is an issue that isn't talked about enough. Nelson Diaz-Marcano has created a social commentary that is as thought provoking as it is hysterically funny.

  • Chelsea Frandsen: Asterion

One of my favorite Greek myths is brought to life with Ariadne as a star! The dialogue has a beautiful poetic lilt to it that's a pleasure to read and would be amazing to hear and the questions of what is true and what isn't perfectly hits home.

  • Chelsea Frandsen: Prisoner Tongues

As a Bard fanatic I love digging into retellings and re-examinations of Shakespeare and Hero and Ophelia have never been more fascinating to me after reading this piece. These two women come alive like never before and are powerful roles Latina/Afrolatina actresses would be beyond proud to bring to life.

  • Chelsea Frandsen: Child of the Movement

Cheryl Davis packs so much into this short piece about race relations and the stigmas that can prevent us from doing what we know to be right. A very important play that should be seen onstage.
