I love the meta aspects of this play and how wonderful it is to see the tough straight men transform! The violence in both acts is really fantastic too! Fabulous work - I highly recommend!

  • Emma Goldman-Sherman: Mrs. Stern Wanders the Prussian State Library

I adore this play and find it to be an extremely relevant play to be reading and producing right now! The relationship that happens on stage between Frick and Stern is edge of your seat suspenseful because Bader has created such high stakes. Each step of the way, much like a tense chess game, there is so much to consider. Layer upon layer we uncover so much about totalitarianism as we also experience how it can be unraveled, how we become human to each other.

Such a great play! Metaphor Galore! Humor! Surprise! Truth! Carnes takes the stage and uses it to make us notice - we can't look away - and then she throws us into a blackout so we can ponder it.

  • Emma Goldman-Sherman: One False Cut

One False Cut takes you in and twists you up and wrings you out - or at least that's what happened to me when I read it. This play is so well-constructed and so moving! I was not able to put it down for a moment! A great example of what Chekhov meant when he said the play has to be in every line - the whole play is in every moment of this play and to great effect!

  • Emma Goldman-Sherman: Deux Femmes on the Edge de la Revolution

A gorgeous sweeping epic! With love and lust and a great sensuality on every page! I highly recommend this for its sheer size and scope, and the language is a joy! Very theatrical with fantastic roles for women!

There is a wonderful perception shift in the play where you realize what you think is not what is happening, and this is a great pleasure for an audience!

  • Emma Goldman-Sherman: The Worth of Water

A beautiful play filled with theatrical moments and mostly a family struggling to find ways to connect across vast ideological distances and past hurts while grieving. A very American story that is heightened through the language and imagery Palmquist provides so organically. Very moving!

  • Emma Goldman-Sherman: HELEN ON WHEELS

A very funny play featuring a role for an older actress that is anything but staid! Truly a marvelous character to play! This would be a lot of fun onstage!

Fabulous! Just freaking awesome! Wonderful monologue! Thank you Samantha Cooper for imagining and writing this! This is exactly how I feel half the time. This is intensely theatrical, and I'd love to see this onstage, but just maybe not at an audition...

  • Emma Goldman-Sherman: Babel

A beautiful thrill of a play - futuristic/sci-fi - but also very human! I love that it centers a female queer relationship and is extremely theatrical with a storytelling stork. Goldfinger's ability to show how a world and its systems can change human thought and behavior is so important for today and beyond.
