  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Wetiko Principle

Yes. "We do not do these things to succeed. We do them because they are right." If we didn't do something just because we thought we might fail, nothing would get done. This is visceral and powerful and yet gives meaning in a somewhat gentle and digestible way. This is the way.

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Cracked Actor

Ugh. As an aging actor, this dance is all too familiar. But it's nice to laugh about in this play! It sure feels like you're never the age they're looking for, so you do your best to be "ageless," just like Delta. If only Grant would stop asking so many questions!

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Play-By-Playa

Omg! This play by play of barroom courtship makes me grateful to not be single. What a game! I love Carson’s breakdown of Ashley before guessing her name, but the reporters are absolutely hilarious! This fast paced comedy would be brilliant to see staged!

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: VALUED PLAYWRIGHT - A 1-MINUTE PLAY

The name variations in this play alone are worth the cost of admission! I think I want to change my name to "Jazzie Prisco!" Seriously, the playwright's name is ON THE SCRIPT! Why does it get so mangled so often?! I bet I'm not the only one who suffers from this name mangling, too!

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Creek

This is such a sweet encounter play between a teenager and a creek monster. Two beings that just want to be left alone, but also want to be seen for who they are. It is a peaceful snapshot for these characters that we know don't get to have many moments like this. Lovely!

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: A Facility For Living

This play feels terrifyingly prescient as it makes you laugh. This is the show to do for your holiday production that will also open some eyes to how we treat our aging population! Gen X, this could happen to you!

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Tesseract

The feeling of "hope" in this play is so real. Yes, hope is a thing with feathers, but it also has a very sharp beak. TESSERACT as a whole is so many things at once, but it never muddies its message. The strongest of which is, loss is an empty feeling but hope scratches the raw edges of where love once was. I could see this play being a series because there is so much life in all of these brilliantly nameless characters. It makes you want to learn more about everyone. I "hope" we can.

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: No Clock In The Forest

Omigosh am I crying reading this play. It's probably the most accurate description of a relationship that SHOULD have worked, but didn't. And it wasn't for lack of love. It was about different levels of passion and need. Orlando was comfortable, Rosalind NEEDED some discomfort. I love both of these characters. And they are both relatable. Which is why it is so hard to see them part.

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: MermAged

Oh this hits! I love and hate that I see myself in these mermaids. The ennui they feel is heavier than the water itself. When even fantastical creatures feel the weight of aging...? But I guess it's nice to not feel alone!

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Rocking in 4/4 Time

Even with the hilarious image of dad furiously rocking in his chair hoping it is a time machine, this play is also very touching. A snapshot of a family not quite whole after a loss, but filling in the blanks with memory and hope together. Very sweet.
