  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: MOMMA NEEDS A BREAK - MONOLOGUE

This is a brilliantly crafted monologue that creates a wonderful image of this horrendously stressed out woman. The writer crafts her character with a beautiful level of detail to the point where you can't help to feel sorry for her. This would make a wonderful strong monologue for any actress.

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Crazy Quilts

Taking such a dark subject as domestic violence and wrapping it in this quilt of brilliantly crafted characters is a total work of genius. This piece is a salute to the bonds of sisterhood in dark times and the strength of women. Brilliantly created and would be a wonderful piece for actresses to protray.

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Blocked

In a time where Social Media plays a big part in our lives we don't really stop to think about the delicate nature of it. How one friend request can lead to so much or how we don't really know how a person feels about what we think and say, we just know they 'liked' it. The writer here has explored all of these notions in this brilliant short piece and will definitely have an audience leaving with thoughts of how much we really think about Social Media and is impact on our lives.

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Almost Opposites Attract

I automatically have the ultimate respect for anyone who can write a musical (as someone who is hopeless at writing music) and this writer can most definitely write a musical! Right from the title song I knew I was in for a treat and the songs went on to thrill and delight me. To me the judgement of a great musical is one where you want to see it just from listening to the sound track and this sweet tale of love is one that is crying out to be seen!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: CHARLOTTE'S LETTERS

I've never known a great deal about the Brontë sisters but this piece opened my eyes a new, which is always a great thing for theatre. Taking this interesting new perspective and drawing the audience in so that you can't help but want to know more. By the end I found myself wanting to research more about the sisters! A very well done piece.

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: A Godawful Small Affair

As a writer, I worried constantly that the pandemic/isolation would stifle my creativity and dry up my imagination. In this case the writer couldn't have been further from that. The piece is a beautiful and colourful story with wonderfully crafted characters and I salute the writer for having created this world despite all that is going on around us!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Crime Scene

What starts out a gritty investigation of murder with the eloquent Chief Inspector quickly takes a turn from reality into theatrical. I don't want to say too much more but it is very cleverly done with witty and brilliantly created characters.

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: We Got Married

We had this read as part of a Sunday night play reading and its absolutely brilliant. The storyline is so versatile you could see the characters being read by many various genders and ages. I think it could even be a one act play evening by itself with different sets of characters and what impact that made on the piece and the audience. Brilliantly done and very witty dialogue.

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: THE BEAUTY OF A ROSE

I had the great pleasure of reading this piece as part of a weekly play reading and not only was it brilliantly written, it was also very thought provoking. The idea that humanity (which has become increasingly dependent on technology) doesn't want it making all our decisions. It asks the ultimate question of do we really believe our lives will remain ours to decide? A fabulous and poingant play. So very well done.

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Rex King And The Suit Of Lights

This piece is a whirlwind of evocative characters and wonderfully created dialogue that build the image of the world that exists within this piece. The action is swift and the plot moves along to a beautifully timed crescendo but still leaves you wanting more, like theatre should.
