  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Spotting Thermals

Firstly I would like to comment on the absolutely fabulous phrasing used by some of the characters in this piece! I found myself invested in the plot almost immediately and as the piece moved from location to the location the more invested I became. The central component of any detective related piece is to draw the audience in and this writer has most certainly done that! Its a piece that should see a stage...soon!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Bloomer Girls

Normally I am not a fan of sports in general but this is so much more than a play about sports! This is a great homage to strong women who aren't afraid of pursuing dreams in a mans world! The characters are beautifully created to the point where you bond with them through the piece. The writer has created a tremendous piece celebrating the strength of women and it should be commended for that.

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: For The Masses

This is a brilliantly written piece that addresses the idea of there being a 'one moment'. That moment when your life can go down one of two roads hindering entirely on one decision. In poor Cy's case the decision wasn't even his but I very much enjoyed how the concept was explored and journeying with Cy has his 'one moment' continued to plague him! Very well written and constructed.

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: What a Swell Party This Is (part of the one-minute play series Destination: Wedding)

This series of pieces could make a fabulous evening of theatre. The couple characters are brilliantly created and following them through their wedding story would be a brilliant night of theatre for any audience.

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: The Eyes, The Nose, The South of You / The East, West, North, and the Mouth of You (two parts of the one-minute play series Destination: Wedding)

The vows in this piece started me off with a smile and some hearty tears which should tell you the talent behind this piece and it continues throughout!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Down in the Depths (part of the one-minute play series Destination: Wedding)

I've never considered how difficult the job of a best man is but Fred's job in this case takes the biscuit! Creating the amount of story, character relationships and action the writer does in such a short piece is nothing short of amazing! Its a very well written 'tickle your funny bone' piece!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Maeve's Camellia

This is a beautifully intimate piece that explores a wide variety of emotions in the characters that you can't help but grow to bond to. The world of dating and relationships is always considered a minefield but the way Ruyle creates his characters and their stories gives a perfect picture of it. I believe this piece will have an audience feeling deeply as you can't not be moved in some way by this piece.

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Wetworking From Home (a play for Zoom)

The 'brisk' back and forth between the assassin and his 'assistant' in this piece couldn't help but make me giggle from the beginning along with the question running through my mind of "can an assassin work from home?" Starting funny and building to hilarious as the piece goes through this piece is a prime example of a great thing to come out of Covid!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Petrified!

A lovely spooky piece with a story that I can imagine being told around a campfire. The characters are beautifully created and have some lovely witty dialogue in some places. The story has you wanting 'to know' from the very beginning and that's what will hold an audience interest. It most certainly did mine!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: My Vagina Has A First Name

Right from the title I was keen to read this play and even on the first page ("BECKY: Female, voices Sarah’s vagina") I was laughing! The play continued to delight and had me laughing out loud. The brilliantly created characters and their dialogue was just perfect (to the point where you could imagine it on television!) This would make a brilliant piece and had me laughing right the way through! Thank you so much for writing it!
