  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Where The Lost Children Play

At its core, this piece is a beautiful tale of a group of young people and the events that unfold, both funny and tragic, that make up their lives. That is what the audience has been fortunate enough to invited to witness. It brought back lovely moments of nostalgia for me of what it was like to be young a create your own worlds, protected from reality, only to realise not all things can be protected. It would be a powerful piece for young performers and is crying out for an audience. A brilliant work!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: A Fragile Mind - Press The Red Button

I'm not sure to be reassured or terrified by this, in the best way! I could hear the emotionless voices of the machine as they try and provide this Jenny with 'what is best for her'. Its a most intriguing premise and I think the ending will be a great twist for an audience. This is the first of this series I have read and rest assured, I am most interested to read more. If you're looking for a unique piece that will hold your audience then this piece is a great example of that.

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Playwrights Versus Zombies!

We had the great fun of reading this play at our Sunday night play reading Halloween Special and it was wonderfully hilarious! It started with a smile and before long you are laughing out loud. By the end I was crying I was laughing so hard! Its a wonderfully chaotic back and forth between the immensley frustrated writer absorbed in his own world (which I can relate to) and the friend trying to remind him of the serious threats in the real world. Its a brilliant premise and was performed fabulously! Now it just needs a live performance!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Blood Pact

We had the tremendous privilege of reading this play at our Sunday night play reading Halloween Special. Its a play that drew me in dying to know more from the very beginning. From there you, as the audience witness this wonderfully intense conversation between husband and wife. The tension and questions continue to flow through this play right up until the last moment and that's what makes this a fabulously thriller and a piece I was so proud to listen to! As Deb always does, she creates a situation you can get absorbed in with characters fascinating to watch!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Conflagration Then Nothing

Well, Scott has done it! He's managed to emulate that moment of blind panic followed by the huge sense of relief and guilt when you are relieved your loved one is ok. This is an incrdible 'heart in your throat' two minutes when you, as an audience member go through almost the same cycle as Jerome, you want things to be ok for this poor man but then you also want things to be ok for everyone. Scott's ability to emulate the human emotion spectrum and its journey is nothing short of miraculous!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: A Play with a Door

Never has 'debate of door' drawn me in so much! You find your mind abuzz with questions as you are presented with this unique and bizarre snapshot of Ever and Perry's life as they find themselves presented with something new and unexplained before unfolding into a tense and intrieguing escalation of this door taking over their lives. Its a play where you NEED to know what happens to the characters (door included). Its a play where you NEED to know things and that is what drew me in, and will draw in an audience too! Its a wonderfully written journey!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Parent / Teacher Night, a Monologue

Oh my god! I truly understand this teacher's exasperation at these parents. Quite frankly, if I was sat on the sidelines of this conversation I'd be risking the urge to shake the parents and proclaim "NO! you don't get to come in here on this one night and bully teachers into doing what you want when your kid has done no work all year!" and as a by stander I could probably get away with that! That's the wonderful thing about gifted writers, they make you feel for their character, and that is exactly what Francis has done! Its wonderful!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Three Little Words, a Monologue

The toxicity of the internet is something that has been known about and depicted for many years. In this case the writer creates a powerful and insightful character to analyse this particular strain of bile. The fact that the character is called "Speaker" makes this monologue very relatable as it shows that these kinds of horrible things can happen to anyone. At the same time though, while I was horrified at the tragic events described I couldn't help but feel inspired to put something positive out there. That's my reason for writing, my three words are "A wonderful piece"!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: The Time Travelers

To start I'd like to say I loved the characters names for this play. The play itself inspires questions from start to finish. Personally as an audience member I'd be tempted to actually ask those questions of Aye and Bee which makes this a great example of immersive theatre. It gives and gives without giving it all away. Loop that in with the quick back and forth dialogue and witty momemnts and this is what you have. A great short play that would make a great addition to a festival for audiences to enjoy (and be involved in.)
