Such a tragic and powerful piece! Its a story of a tragic death due to bigotry and the aftermath of it. You can't help but feel for Jayne as she is visibly in pain regarding the loss of her brother. The dialogue has moments of harsh and tender emotions so that you can't help but feel before presenting you with a superbly constructed ending, part of me wished that Jayne came back to hear what Terri said but maybe that's part of what the writer wants to address, the fact that justice isn't always done. So very well written!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: FOR THE TREE TO DROP

From the opening stage directions I was drawn in! From there you are guided through the stories of the wonderfully created characters. Their life is one you can see in your mind as they describe the scenes they face every day. Its a fascinating, powerful and heart wrenching piece, all of which is well captured. The flitting back and forth between Henry and other scenes makes the story engaging and draws you in more still, wanting to know how events will unfold. Its very well written and I'm glad it was the first piece I've read from this playwright.

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Crabs in a Bucket

Looking back on fights you had years ago can often offer a wonderful sense of perspective, which is what these two characters get. As an audience we are privileged enough to watch these former friends talk about the old days, the mis-interpretations they had about their friendship and what led to its end. Its such a wonderful tender moment that reminds the audience how much impact a person can have in your life. The two characters, although they grew up together couldn't be more different and that's what makes this interaction a more crucial moment in their lives.

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: The Ones Who Adapt

Observing human behaviour through the eyes of outsiders is always interesting and insightful. In addition to both of those, Greg Lam has also made it funny as two creatures, new to the wrold of humanity are tasked with finding ways of fitting in. Its a wonderful piece with witty back and forth dialogue and is sure to make you laugh, which is ironic, the idea of humans laughing at a play where aliens discuss the complexity of having to emulate humans. Would make a great piece for performance and easy to see why its had such a great production history.

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Hey, Kiddo

Horror movies are generally designed to have you break out in goosebumps and your hairs standing on end. This play has managed to the same and more. As you watch Jonathan and Katye's experience with Michael unfold you realised you are watching something with a sinister underlining with questions emerging throughout. Its a wonderfully tense and terrifying piece that could make a wonderful play for Halloween. My only piece of advice with this play, don't read it before you go to bed!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Confessions of the Big Bad Wolf (10 Minute play)

Big Bad Wolf and his wife has to be the most intriguing relationship I've seen in a while. We all know that the big bad wolf blew down the pigs house and swallowed up red riding hood, but what if he decides not to any more? That's the fascinating and funny conversation Marcia presents to us in this brilliantly funny piece. Take the realm of fairy tales and presenting a modern perspective as well as a twist is just a wonderful idea. Its a piece I coldn't help but laugh at and I know it would make a great show!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: A Carefully Planned Spontaneity

"Future Collaborations" has to be the best way of describing sex I've heard in ages! That comes near the end of this wonderfully intimate piece. Two actors prepare for a love scene, including an intimacy director, which I didn't even know was a thing! The dialogue moves back and forth between the two men almost as a dance routine. This coupled with the actual routine they have to rehearse gives this piece a wonderfully intimate romantic feel as they manoeuver this relationship towards a wonderful moment. I couldn't help but smile.

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: Is That Santa at the Window?

It may be October but I love a festive miracle play and Cole has created a beauty here. He captures the childlike innocence of belief in Ryan and the synisism in his sister to begin with but then, as you witness what could be a horrible thing happen, Cole twists the story on its head so by the end all three characters are feeling and believing differently. Its a wonderful heart felt piece and while it does have sad moments you can't help but feel for the characters and love the story.

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: PETER CRATCHIT, ESQ.

When you have a tale like "A Christmas Carol" its difficult to imagine anyone creating a new twist for it, but Kerr has and in an expert fashion. While the piece is set long after Scrooge's night with the spirits, as a wonderfully written story in which Peter Cratchit has reached a crossroads in his life and has to be shown where his choices could lead. Its a wonderful play with a great sense of community and I can imagine would be great to produce. My heartiest congratulations Kerr, you know how to keep Christmas all the year!

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: SUNSET AT SANTORINI (Drinks With New Friends)

With more twist and turns than a labryinth, you can't help but get absorbed into this funny and exciting piece as Glenn expertly lulls you into the idea that you actually know how events are going to unfold before expertly twisting the story...and then twisting it again! Honestly I can't say much more without spoiling it but its brilliantly constructed and I would heartily recommend it!
