  • Christopher Plumridge: CRIME SPREE - 10 minute play

Now who says crime doesn't pay?
In this short about one brother considering a life of crime, over a coffee and a computer, with big brothers reluctant advice, audiences will wonder if Sean does indeed pursue a life in crime, or will the cute barista keep him on the straight and narrow.
    Fun!

  • Christopher Plumridge: 37 Origami Bees

Beautiful and sentimental, this play touches the heart from the very beginning. Although Max had clearly been ill, he still had one more origami bee left in him, so its down to a very caring hospice worker to deliver his final gift.
Simply a gorgeous and moving two hander.

  • Christopher Plumridge: 'Twas the Morning of Christmas

Like a short scene from a Friends Christmas special, only better, this play delivers some sweet romcom lines. They way these two ladies banter bounce of each other with poor innocent Santa Claus caught in the middle, is hilarious.
And just when you think this play is getting a little risqué... well find out yourself.
    Love it!

  • Christopher Plumridge: I Smoke

This lady had me at noir. A moody and atmospheric monologue crammed full of noir essentials, just as she describes. Not only does she smoke, this monologue smokes too.
    Brilliant!

  • Christopher Plumridge: The Last Stalker (Ten Minute)

Such a moving short two hander.
There are so many forces which can come between love, but when a force with fatal consequences barges in unannounced, it must hurt so badly to let go of those so close. Paul tackles the AIDS crisis of the 1980s with deep sensitivity, whilst keeping their pain, and love, so very real.

  • Christopher Plumridge: Stool Pigeons

    Ha!
Pigeons on a stool have two meanings here....
This short would be hilarious to stage, both actors in full pigeon costumes. But behind this is a real bromance (in the way I staged it in my head, anyway) so touching.
Remind me never to drive a Tesla....

  • Christopher Plumridge: 37 Origami Bees

This version of the 37 bee title is totally hilarious!
Lots of back and forth between the protagonist and Alexa, which bubbles up to the inevitable climax.
Sprinkled in a subtle mentions of othe 37 Bee writers, a nice touch.
This would bee a great audio, which people will swarm to listen to.

  • Christopher Plumridge: 37 Origami Bees

Ha! What a fun little contest this is!
Some eager talented kids, a corrupt teacher and an old master who never got to lift the trophy, this play has it all, and one laugh out loud line from the teacher!
Poor Billy... but could this be his year?
    Love it!

The mark of an excellent playwright is the way they draw you in within just a couple of sentences. Here Scott has drawn me in with such depth of history and character that it took my breath away.
A beautiful short story where it takes most of the play for the meaning of the title to unfold.
I do hope this becomes a full length play, even a saga...?

  • Christopher Plumridge: Polar Bear

Oh my! All this polar bear wants is a human hug. But....
Maybe we've been wrong all along, we say we understand such beautiful creatures, but do we really?
    A lovely monologue.
Excuse me while I go hug a polar bear....
