  • Jaxson Mackling: Confess

Calling WILLIAMS’ short piece “Confess” would be and understatement. A lovely piece about how brothers and sisters bicker over the most basic details of life, only to realize their mother is not more clever than she’s thought to be.

A wonderful example of everyday life at its finest. This play would be wonderful in production or at a festival! I want to see it produced! Read. Produce. Repeat. Well done!

  • Jaxson Mackling: The Runner

STEVEN’s one act piece, “The Runner” is masterful. It reminds you of watching an old foreign movie, one truly about the holocaust, yet not with all the graphic detail; one of hope and love, one of mystery.

“The Runner” makes you think. Makes want feel for the characters and their struggles, yet hopes that they succeed. A lovely little story, perfect for any production! Well done!

  • Jaxson Mackling: Magic Wand (A Lost Children Story)

This is a fun little play by DEFRATES. Hannah takes a thought provoking scenario and gives it life. A wonderful piece of what it means to be special, even when you’re down and out…or when you’ve lost your “glo”.
A wonderful beginning to a something that is so much more. Fact is, I want more.

Perfect for a children’s show or young actors competition. Well done!

  • Jaxson Mackling: Bronte's Mom

As a fur brother, I’ve never actually dealt with puppies, only bigger dogs, but I’ve definitely had my share of “wet spots” and other things.

Priskorn’s play “Bronte’s Mom” is a marvelous juxtaposition between what it means to be there for others (animals too) and for yourself. This lovely piece would be fun to produce as it is so relatable in everyday life. Read. Produce. Repeat. Well done!

  • Jaxson Mackling: Kiki

Yikes…things just got real. Real quick. Was not expecting that. Jeffrey James Keyes’ short piece “Kiki” is a piece of theatre that is shocking good! Amazing! I gasped. Flabbergasted.

“Kiki” is a short comedy that blends the juxtaposition of love and revenge beautifully.
A lovely piece that any theatre would love to produce. It would work especially well in a theatre that stands for LGBTQIA+ individuals. Marvelous. Well done.

  • Jaxson Mackling: A Certain Pedigree

Rachel Williams’ short piece “A Certain Pedigree” is such a powerful play. A wonderful juxtaposition between what it means to be liked and to be somewhat…different. Benji is the new pup of the family that might seem him as useless to his owners, only to realize he has a true friend group by his side.

A lovely play that audiences will rave over. Produce and produce again! Well done!

  • Jaxson Mackling: Glass of Water (a short play)

Hayley's short piece, "A Glass Of Water" is a cute little hilarious comedy that "influences" you as you read. This play felt both real and imagined and it brought me back to times of competing in play festivals. The play will definitely enhance you in a way that is magical. Even though Hayley's was intended for a festival, it will work well anywhere. Bravo!

  • Jaxson Mackling: Bagged

“Bagged” by PRISKRON is a fun play that deals with juxtaposition between what it means to truly “clean up“ after your dog and the backlash that may follow.

A hilarious one-minute play that everyone can relate to. Well done!

  • Jaxson Mackling: Can You Hear Me Now?

NORKIN’s play, “Can You Hear Me Now?” is such a fun read! The play is a sweet juxtaposition between what it means to live life with a smartphone and to be the ones who once created it. Many people, young and old, will fight over the themes and arguments of this play. Well done!

  • Jaxson Mackling: So Much In Common

“One Elective. One.”…no wonder Helen’s mother made her choose just one elective…

Karen Fix Curry play is sweet yet shocking. The way it moves is like a breath of fresh air….until the climax that is. At least both girls won’t have to face high school alone.

The perfect play for two young females. Bravo!
