  • Jeffrey James Keyes: Hotter Than Thoreau

A delicious romp that's equally funny and horrifying. I really enjoyed this play and would love to see a part two, three, and four. It's always a treat to step into Zaffarano's world. Well done!

  • Jeffrey James Keyes: Eighty-Seven Keys (a monologue)

A powerful and heartfelt eulogy and a timely piece that illuminates an all too familiar moment in our current state of affairs. Thank you for your words and reflection and tribute for someone who surely made a difference in many people's lives.

  • Jeffrey James Keyes: Engaged in the Time of COVID-19

This fun, well crafted play would be such a treat to see. I really enjoyed how Kumar uses economy in language to play with something that would be a joy to watch live. Great work!

  • Jeffrey James Keyes: The Lesson [a 1-minute play]

Steven G. Martin has such an astute grasp of the human condition and reveals an expansive and complicated family dynamic in subtle brushstrokes in this strong short that packs a punch. It's amazing how these small moments can have a lasting impression. Well done.

  • Jeffrey James Keyes: It's an Espresso Drink with Foamy Steamed Milk

Oh, this is a gem of a play. Martin's sensibility is spot on with this macchiato doused satire that reminds me of so many people we encounter on any given day. Well executed, maestro! I look forward to reading (and experiencing) more of your work!

  • Jeffrey James Keyes: Maybe Tomorrow

Nuanced, hilarious at times, and rich in depth and truth. I was absolutely engrossed in this play from start to finish. Max is a sharp and daring writer that everyone should lean into. I can't wait to read more of his work.

  • Jeffrey James Keyes: A Brief List of Everyone Who Died

I love this play so much, it immediately grabbed my attention and pulled me into a wonderfully constructed world with clearly developed, well-defined characters approaching the inevitable. Rice's knack for dialogue and dark humor really shines through in this work. I was caught off guard in several moments while reading and felt completely destroyed at the end. Thank you for the gift that is this excellent play.

  • Jeffrey James Keyes: and Isabella Bootlegs

and, and, and Isabella Bootlegs is a fierce play, a bubbling kettle filled with curious and flavorful tea, it's characters all building up the courage to whistle (or simmer) at any moment. Cooper's story is rich and daring, she executes complex and heartfelt storylines with crisp, simplistic precision (and some heavy, dark laughter) to orchestrate what will truly be a powerful night of theatre. You can't help but wonder about the mysteries and secrets of own family's history after taking in this excellent play.

  • Jeffrey James Keyes: Sheltered

I found Sheltered completely engrossing and felt as if I needed to get through the play before a ticking time bomb went off. I'm so impressed with her ability to capture not only the spirit of a frightening time in history but dropping subtle hints at the fact that we're on the threshold of that same history repeating. Her play is smart, well constructed, and provides strong, conflicted characters that make for what would truly be a powerful and poignant evening of theatre.

  • Jeffrey James Keyes: you do not look

You Do Not Look is powerful play, smartly executed by Callan Stout. I caught a workshop production of this well crafted play some time ago and reading it stirred up the same pool of emotions. Stout’s story is eerie and unsettling at times yet fun and introspective. I loved it.
