This is one I definitely can't wait to see onstage. Shealy’s world-building here is great and the use of horror tropes is so creative. This is what horror theatre should be. This is what horror on film can do so well that theatre often can't achieve. It's not campy or cheesy. It's a genuinely scary play that says so much about trama that passes through generations. SOMEONE PLEASE PRODUCE THIS PLAY!!!

This play was a blast to read and I'm excited to see how it develops. Shealy has a real gift for writing both action-packed sci-fi and poetry filled intimate scenes. Climate change is an existential threat for our species and this play beautifully addresses that while also showing the human drama we will always be facing.

This play left me breathless. I am amazed by how expertly Berman walks the line between horror, comedy and drama here. A true testament to how all those genres overlap when they are most effective. These characters are so compelling and I found myself rooting for them and hating them each at so many different moments. I really hope theatre can happen again soon because I really need to see this play fully realized.

So much to think about and discuss after this play. Such a heavy but relevant topic. I am in awe of how Berman plays with form here. At the start it feels like this could play about as a piece of naturalism but as the character's grasp on reality is shaken so is the audiences as scenes blend together and direct address is utilized. PRODUCE THIS PLAY!!

This play beautifully captures the innocence of childhood and how our natural sense of play never really leaves us. These are characters I really enjoyed spending time with and imagining the adults they are going to become.

Rarely are conversations about the relationship between artist and medium this funny. This is such a fascinating look into the dynamic of these three friends that feels so natural. Also, the choice to make the character who is not as obsessed with art as the others probably male is so subversive and exciting.

An utterly heartbreaking and super relatable 10 minute play by one of my absolute favorite writers that fully utilizes this new reality of theatre.

The ideas and questions that fill this play are ones that couldn't be more relevant. It's in no way didactic, though. It's a play that never chooses a side with any specific character. It actually leaves that up to the audience in a jaw-dropping final moment. Colonization and appropriation need to be discussed in all areas of our culture but especially in the theatre.

The framing device for this play is brilliant. So much is packed into this 10 minute play but it all fits so perfectly. The way Atallah looks at the different ways women deal with sexual assault is so powerful. I was stunned by the end of this play and then the anger came.
