  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Sarcophagus

I don't know why I'm crying at the end of this beautiful script. Maybe it's because I relate to Cleopatra's plight as an aging actress. Maybe it's the beauty of seeing two strangers come together and give each other the emotional support they needed at that moment without any expectation of any transactional exchange. All I know is, this is a magical painting of a moment brought to life and I am in love.

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: DON'T MOVE

It's frustrating to see two people try so hard to work together and fail. The model and the artist can't seem to stay away from one another, we can see they try, but just can't fit the "mold" of what the other needs. There seem to be "salvageable pieces" but none will make a whole relationship and they know it. There is hope that their art will continue, at the end, just on separate paths.

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: After the Garden

This is cute, magical and relatable. Putting off divorce like I say "I'll start my diet on Monday"! Audiences will love the familiar characters having very familiar discourse! Fun and funny!

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Terra Cotta, or What We Leave Behind

This is a sweet, sad, and surprisingly sci-fi play. It's hard to decide what items you should "get precious" about when you are forced to pack light and leave a home behind.

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: ELEANOR

A very sweet and quiet moment at a poorly attended funeral. Charles and Lulu are two very adorable characters that finally come together after a SECOND chance meeting? Great piece for older actors.

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Five Miles Long, Two Hundred Feet High

A truly Michigan play with a universal heart. Driving over the bridge is an experience, for sure. One that might just open Jennifer up to a bigger world north of her familiar and safe life. A very sweet two-hander.

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Song and Dance Man

Absolutely sweet and pivotal moment in a mother and her son's life, picking their song to dance to at his wedding. It's fun to go through the list of "no"s and really think about the lyrics! This is a familial hug of a play.

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Audubon Sucks! (15 minutes)

Not only is this a play about birds, but it is truly a feminist play! Callista and Pidgie are both feeling sorry for their situations, but sharing their defeats together helps them come together for the other's betterment. Humans get so caught up in beauty and labels that when it is lost, they don't know who they are anymore. Callista, with the encouragement of this park pigeon Pidgie, is reclaiming her early life passion and will start by making a difference in the lives of all birds!

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Parts of Me (one-act, also available as an audioscript)

I can see why Moe wants to stay and play music for Sam, Sam is a terrific audience! All of the characters are fun in this play and audiences will both adore and fear Sam the conductor! A great piece for a horror or comedy festival!

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: B-Sides

Adorable. I love when actors get to play "non human" characters. These jukebox heroes are stuck together, but they find their distractions in each other. It might be fun to hear a mash-up of these songs someday! Crazy is stuck seeing from only one perspective though and will never know her love for her B-side is actually the love she most deserves. Self-love!
